Without giving anything away, it looks like many, many, many, many of us all called the entire plot damn near verbatim right from the get-go. So... that’s super disappointing. I actually hoped it wouldn’t all be as obvious as seemed, and even said as much. Anyway, for people to avoid apparent spoilers here, simply don’t scroll BACK in this thread and read anyone’s predictions.
I kinda figured the early reviews are the shill fucks that praises anything cause they get to see it before anyone else. I still remember some dumb ass YouTube reviewer who saw Suicide Squad early and said it was the greatest DCEU so far!
So, I read the post credit scenes. Nice little surprises if you ask me. I can’t believe Marvel actually did what they did in the first one.
Yes, but given the mid-credits scene, was there any other way to introduce that? To me, I do not think there was any better way to introduce it as it just screams it
I don't think that's a bad thing in this case. They are adapting existing characters after all, there's going to be some level of predictability. Besides, we know these characters. The average movie going public who's never heard of the character in question may actually be surprised by things. Plus it means we won't have to worry about sudden character shifts or retcons in the comics.
Because it couldn't be that they actually enjoyed the movie, right? EDIT: Well it has a 92% on RT, so I think we've got another solid movie.
Spoiler Yes. Long answer from the Wikipedia summary if you want it. Spoiler The two realize that Beck was a fraud who formerly worked as an illusions specialist at Stark Industries and later fired for his unpredictable nature.
Far From Home Director Reveals A Major Trailer Scene Is Not In the Film Turns out the Iron Spider fight scene in the trailer is not in the final movie.
I don't get the big deal anymore with scenes not in trailers. For one thing, it's been happening for decades. Secondly, it should be expected at this point.
Can't compare the two but I think the Raimi movies (Yes, even 3, the Sandman stuff in that movie was the one of the first times you really cared about a villain) told a better narrative. Then again that's my opinion. Well at that point SS was prob the best /s but then again I don't remember much about them. Also you know there is some biased when you're invited by the studio themselves to go watch your movie. I know every MCU movie is good but even if it's not great, you kinda have to say it is, if you want to be invited back. I know they did, because it is an enjoyable movie, but some of them are also shills and want to be invited to the next screening. You can't easily tell them apart.
I just rewatched the first Raimi movie the other day and I just hate MacGuire as Peter. He looks like he should be Peter graduating college, not graduating high school/going to college. The Green Goblin mask is also terrible and the movie features way too many Raimi-isms in it (which is one of my biggest pet peeves with the second movie as he got really out of control with them). The best things about it are JK Simmons and Danny Elfman's amazing soundtrack. In fact, I miss opening credits like this movie had. These days movies don't do opening credits anymore because apparently the audience is too ADD stricken to have to wait an extra minute and a half before the action kicks off.
So it seems that Spoiler despite the fact that Mysterio ultimately perishes, he gets the last laugh on Spider-Man by outing his secret identity and framing him. This will no doubt play into the third movie(which is unconfirmed but highly likely), due Peter having a target painted on his back. Kraven the Hunter anyone???
I did NOT realize that this was coming out on July 2 in the states. Why is it being released that early?
Since Fourth of July is on Thursday that makes Wednesday like Friday since it’s going into a long weekend. I guess they’re just treating Tuesday like a normal Thursday with the early screenings at night.
Well the obvious about.. Spoiler If you scroll back a few pages, I already called it that Spidey-Sense will be a factor of proving Mysterio to being who he ALWAYS is, a total BS special effects artist. How he was able to fool "Fury" is revealed by the post credit scene that shows why "He" didn't realize it sooner and also explains that abrasive response to Peter asking "What about Captain Marvel?" Who it goes to from here, besides maybe following up with Scorpion's threats talking to Vulture, it wouldn't be a bad thing to see some of Spidey's lesser/greater villains besides the Goblins, Ock, and Lizard appear. Kraven especially would be a fitting inclusion. The outing of Peter's identity is just one more thing about the MCU, that there are no such things as Secret Identities. Though it's dangerously close to "One More Day" territory where someone might go gunning for Aunt May, if "Graduation Day" (the supposed third title from the Homecoming announcement) comes and they find ways to say it was all part of the ruse, more power to them.. but for now at least, Nedd has competition for the best character in the MCU Spidey-verse.. because JK SIMMONS IS BACK!!! ....but one thing that doesn't need spoiler tags, ..this is going to be the first movie without a Stan Cameo..
