Marvel & Sony Set A Release Date For The SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel So the good ol web-head will kick off Phase 4
Well, the timing is a surprise. I can't wait to see what they do for the sequel. I am guessing though that this might be two years later since Homecoming comes out next year. Also, Transformers 7 being its only competition at the moment is kind of mixed both ways. It should manage to do great in the states, but will most likely suffer internationally just because of T7.
Before the MCU came around, Spider-Man was Marvel's flagship character, even making it to the Marvel Logo. So yeah, he's getting a sequel, he won't fail. But I have hope that it will be a good sequel to a good film.
Makes me think Of Star Trek 4 with Chris Hemsworth returning being announced a couple weeks before the premiere of ST3: The Search for Cash
On further inspection I take back my earlier skepticism. This looks to be replacing the Inhumans film in late 2019 and this is being jointly worked on by Sony and Marvel. When you consider that the main reason for this deal was for Marvel to have one of their flagship characters back to be a new headliner... this makes perfect sense.
I dont recall there being a thread for the MCU Spider-Man sequel. we only have the one for the first movie.
Spider-Man: Homecoming Isn't this it? Called Spider-Man Homecoming? You have posted in it. Just yesterday at 2:40pm on the last page. Is Soiderman Homecoming not the MCU movie? I'm confused. Is there a Spiderman movie after Spiderman Homecoming? Was that announced? Is that what this is for?
this is the thread for the sequel to Homecoming, Marvel and Sony confirmed that the second Spidey movie in the MCU will come in 2019, right after Infinity War Part 2 (or whatever it ends up getting called)
I was really hoping Marvel would take a break after Infinity War before moving on, but whatever i guess.
well the leaked sony emails said that as part of the agreement, a sequel had to come out in 2019 and Marvel also slated dates for 2020, so a break was never in question. Plus theres this thing called money aswell.
