Spider-man Vs. Vampires in Spider-man 4? I blame "Twilight" for this. UPDATE - JM Morbius not the villain
What I'm more surprised at is how they think they can come out with a 4th Spiderman after the peice of crap Spiderman 3 was.
It took awhile but they came out with another batman after a certain director and george clooney ruined the franchise. Besides under their contract with Marvel, if they stop making Spider-man movies they lose the rights. So they will keep making new ones as long as it's profitable.
I can live with Morbius, just as long as they don't fit in the Black Cat in this so they can pull the romance card BS with Felicia and Morbius like they did in the 90's animated series.
Morbius I can live with but come ON! Spidey vs. Lizard vs. Kraven. Almost every Spidey fan knows this would be and look ass-kickingly awesome. Plus Doc Conners has been in the Spider-Man Movieverse since it began. They could finally do something with him...
spiderman 3 wasn't horrible, the thing that i hated was that they killed off venom w/out any real fight between spiderman and him. what they need to do is bring carnage in and start working on lizard, i mean come on, Rami himself said he wanted to stick with the "Classic" villians, so how much more classic can you get then lizard? EDIT: wait, if they are bringing Morbius are we going to see glimpses of Man-Spider?
Well, while true, they had to go reboot the Batman series again, but Batman: Begins and TDK are excelent movies in my opinion. Spiderman 3 tried fitting in Venom's story along with Sandman's together, and failed miserably. Venom was mostly intact in terms of orgin, but the cost was the relative lack of fighting (and Peter Parker when in "Black Spidey" mode was too emo for me tolerate), and Sandman's story just got butchered (the movie portrays him as a victim of circumstances and a guy trying to get medical help for his daughter, the original comic version was just a prick who was a janitor at a nuclear power plant that blew up) in order to fit him in. If true Morbius is a stupid move. Next Tombstone and Black cat would show up. Connors(lizard) is a no brainer along with Mysterio(campbell),maybe even use scorpion or Vulture. With Venom they could say part of the Symbiote survived and regrew over time,Thus leaving a opening for Carnage and other Symbiotes.
actually i think the big prob with venom was the fact that Raimi didn't like venom and didn't even want to put him in the movie in the first place my thoughts exactly
As long as Raimi is involved the films will continue to suck. But lets face it, Spider-man is gonna pull in megabucks no matter the quality of the films. For all the SM3 hate, it was the highest grossing movie of 2007 and that will always trump quality.
If we're lucky it might be an apology for SM3. Maybe even retcon out the cheap death for Venom. Personally I thought SM3 would have been good with just Sandman and Harry. Shoehorning in Venom was a bad idea especially giving him to a director that hates him. Anyone who's read a fanfic knows what happens when someone who hats a character writes them, they pull a fantasy frag.
Meh, Vampires are big this year and Morbius is a decent Marvel Character. That being said, they are missing out on the gravy train that is Venom and carnage. I think the pair would fit better the movie universe...
Venom needs a HUGE movie fix, that last versions SUCKED ARSE that was not eddie brock it was that kid from the 70s show....Eddie Brock is a BIG GUY and the suit could BE BETTER
