Eh, that's true. I'd be all for a new actor though. Look at that kid from Slumdog Millionare. I've never seen the movie myself, but it was only his first or second I think.
I wouldn't even cast his pasty face for Morbius. And that'd only bring the plague known as Twilight fans upon the Spiderman franchise. Actually, that might be a good premise for the next movie.

Sorry. Maybe they removed it? Basic gist: Spidey was changing diapers, Adrian Toomes was the new editor of the Dialy Bugle and Vulturess was Sony's idea.
If it's true that the script was going in that direction, then I'm definitely happy it's been canned. While I like S3, I do have to admit that it could have been vastly improved, and if S4 was really going to be more of the same, it would have gotten boring, and to some degree, annoying. Here's hoping that the reboot is at least half-way decent. Personally, I'm honestly hoping that they don't bring Spider-Man into the Avengers, or at the very least not for the first one. He just doesn't really fit the team, imo. Though who knows, the new direction they'll be taking with the character might make him fit better.

K. Simmons has j.j.j, Is there any actor from the original films that you want to see back in the reboots?
Thomas Haden Church as Sandman. That's pretty much it. Though frankly I don't care cause I'm not one of those people that feels any one actor defines a character. Simmons is great as JJJ, but I'm sure there are a ton of actors that could pull the role off.
There aren't many, but it would be nice to see J. K. Simmons stay on as Jonah Jameson. Bruce Campbell, imo, should definitely return. I don't care how big of a role or what role he plays, just that he should have some kind of part in the movie. Thomas Church could also return as Sandman, though I'm hoping they stay away from repeat villains for at least a little while.
Simmons, and I'll be honest, Bryce Dallas Howard. She wasn't BAD as Gwen Stacy. I didn't like how they wrote her into Spiderman 3, but she could still do well.
