as lizard is in the game that means he does survive the events of the film (unlike the villians in the raimi trilogy (expect sandman))

 

The game will be everywhere, heck there is even a version coming out for the iphone and android that looks decent.

 

Fuck! The game just came out when I went down to the EBGames shops. My god! As soon as I get the cash fore it... DEFINTELY BUYING!

Yeah, plus, the main villain HAS to be in the game, and having said that, he could die in the game! (although unlikely, due to it being the Lizard)

 

If anyone takes this game as canon, they better explain why Stan Lee has spider powers.

it wasnt saying i consider it canon (i dont even consider the DOTM Game canon, only the comics IMO), i was saying that since the game is meant to be a epilogue (until its contradicted by spidey 2, if bob and alex contradict it, or the actual film.) and since Connors is in it, does that means if he does survive the film

i highly doubt the STan Lee part is meant to be canon in any possible way, it was just a thing they added for us the fans, not for the game actual plot/continuty

Well, after enjoying the demo, I just bought the 3DS game today. I'm pretty happy with it for the most part; visually it's pretty impressive, it controls smoothly, it takes a lot of pointers from the Batman Arkham games, and it's got some good voicework and some decent music.
I do have a couple problems with it though:
So far, there doesn't seem to be any free-roaming. For a full 3D Spider-Man game, I simply cannot fathom why something like that would be left out. I suppose it's possible it has to do with hardware limitations but I'm a little doubtful on that.
The on-screen prompts for dodging are far too large and placed right dead center of the screen; that gets annoying especially when playing with the 3D turned on.

 

It now has an 81 on RT, 3 rotten reviews so far, 13 fresh

Frankly, I never thought it would measure up to Spidey 2, but I'm surprised it isn't closer to the first Raimi Spidey.

 

Considering there are several reviews out there where the writers can't seem to tell if this new Spidey movie is a reboot or prequel (read: they have no idea what they're talking about and were obviously assigned to write a movie review), I'm not letting any negative reviews sway me from seeing this. I'm also in my own camp who hated the Raimi movies - all three of them - so as far as I'm concerned, there's just no way this reboot could possibly be worse than the original. I agree that watching 2 hours of origin story again is going to feel redundant, but if it means the start of a new & better Spidey movie franchise, I'm all for it.
