Just saw the trailer on EMPIRE.......HOLYFUCKINGSHITTHATWASSOAWESOME
Thank god I don't have any more lessons today :lol

    My thoughts:
    Pros
-Love the vivid colours, the shot at 1:16 looked amazing
    - Parker's a joker, nice, that's one of the things that truly griped me about Raimi's trilogy
    - Really quite intrigued at how this story will unfold, particularly noticed the bit with Dr Ratha in the car- What does The Lizard want with him?
    - His spidey-sense, he dodged a bullet a point-blank range, and thankfully it didn't go all slow-mo on us
    - No first-person perspective
    - The mechanical web-shooters looked really cool
    Cons
-The visuals still look like they need work, but then, this is Sony Imageworks, what can you expect
    - Still not sure on The Lizards design, I love the body, but the flat face kind of ruins it
    - Why is everything at night??
    - The unmasking scene, hopefully they can pull that off well
    - New costume still looks wierd to me

The moment Peter made that joke about Gwen's doorman being intimidating, I knew they nailed it. Wise-cracking Peter just felt so...right, and I loved every bit of it. The swinging and fighting look great, with the punches strong and the momentum there.

I also look forward to the relationship between Peter and Dr Connors. It looks like they're really focusing on the backstory, and that's something that the Raimi movies never explored.

My only gripe now is the seemingly vast amount of unmasked scenes. I hope they execute it well in the movie. Besides the part where he was arrested and unmasked was chilling!

All in all, the trailer made me feel that this is a very faithful adaptation of the Spider-man comics in terms of spirit and feel. It doesn't try to be flashy, but it is very, very exciting. Everything just felt so right to me.

That's what I get, too. The tone just feels so spot-on. Spidey needs to be funny.

Plus, I think Denis Leary as Capt. Stacey is going to be pretty funny, too. "38 of NY's finest..." :)

Not sure what it is about it, but I am still not feeling it. I think it is mainly the dude playing Spider-man (I love the rest of the casting) and how heavily the parents seem to be integrated into the story.

That trailer looked good, might catch it in theaters instead of waiting for DVD. Having not really followed the movies development, I'm sure has been talked about already, but I have only one major gripe: Webshooters. Ug. I really hate the idea of them, makes no goddamn sense to me. "Does whatever a spider can" except for spinning webs, arguably one of their most defining abilities.

Same here, plus I see they have this love for having him without the mask on a lot in the trailer.

And, probably in the minority here, but I really never did like the idea of the web shooters he made. How can he possibly create that much webbing in those tiny cartriges?

I will see the movie, but I am not gonna make the call til after it.

Why is it that they think bigger is better in these movies?

I'm just not feeling this one. Something about it just don't feel right to me.

IMO its too soon for a reboot. It feels wrong to me.

If Garfield had Toby Maguire's suit, it would be absolutely perfect. I hate those gloves so, so much.

You know what, after the first trailer, I was like, "HELL NO. That just looks bad, I'll stick to Spider-Man 2."

After the new trailer I went, "I AM SO SEEING THIS IN THEATERS."

It's amazing how they can turn your opinion around.

Too much blue, not enough red. Spidey's supposed to have red gloves.

I've gotten used to the new suit after re-watching the trailer a few times, I quite like the more vivid colours, i'm still not fond on his lenses though. I do agree that there should be a little more red on the gloves.
I still think the Raimi suit was pretty much perfect-the best superhero suit i've seen in any film

I have to admit that the picture I posted gives an impression that he has really huge lips :lol  ....it looks weird, but I think that's because of the water

Also, I just can't express how much I love this shot:

The colours just look amazing and I love how fluid Spidey looks

^This. That was teh best suit, also it lakes the best thing Sam Raimi had....J.K Simmons as J.Jonah Jameson.

Aside from those two gripes, I'd want to see this movie now.

Love the web shooters. Love Leary. Don't mind the costume.

But that's it. The Lizard just doesn't seem like the lizard, I still don't know about Garfield, even though I love him as an actor, and Emma Stone as Gwen insteas of Mary Jane still pisses me off. Plus, I'm not a fan of the focus being put on his parents. Might make for a good story, but I don't care for it.
