Sony Rebooting Spider-Man in 2012! - Superhero Hype!
cant say im not surprised really.
Suits me. After a brilliant start and a very good sequel, the third movie was utterly terrible.
I dunno about this....
Are they gonna do a total reboot, story an all? 'Cause the first two did that REALLY well all things considered; I don't see a need to redo it.
ON the other hand, if its a reboot like "The Incredible Hulk" (a new story not strictly connected to the original plot/characters) then it could be AWESOME!
Actually I did a little yay.
I dont like Mcguire as Spidey or Kristen Dunst as MJ. Now I can hope a better Spidey and MJ can be cast
and frankly I can stand a remake of the first one, I sorta hate it.-the second one is glorious however. the third one has its moments(points to eureka seven goblin), but bad nevertheless
SO 1 /3 bad, I can hope for better in spidey the reboot.
To me, the best parts of the Spider-Man trilogy were the ones Sam Raimi was involved with. It was the studio that forced Venom into the third movie and now I have a feeling that the studio will give us something akin to X3 or X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
How many movies can they expect to make with a teenage Peter Parker? You can get a 15 or 16 year old for the first one, but by the time the second one needs to get made, you've got a 19/20 year old.
One of my wishes for the new movies is centered around the costume. In the old movies, they said each of the Spidey suits cost $100,000 (or some ridiculous amount) to make. Hopefully the costume in the new movie will look like it was made by a teenager and didn't cost 8 arms and 8 legs.
Also, I want WEB SHOOTERS!!! And a Spidey utility belt with a Spidey signal on the belt buckle!!!
And please make him FUNNY!!! Spider-Man is a wisecracking smart ass! Tobey's Peter Parker was neither of those things.
Wow, they should just kill the whole series
That's just peachy.
I wish they cast someone like Jeremy Davies for Web-head in the reboot.
Since she has great screen chemist Mr. Davies in LOST, have Rebecca Mader as MJ.
If they have the Goblin or Doc Ock in any of the films, they should keep Dafoe and maybe Molina.
I'm surprised and unsurprised at the same time.
Damn I was really looking forward to part 4. I never had any problems with the cast of 1-3.
That's pretty much my thoughts.
I'm interested to see a Spidey reboot. The first did it so well that I'm wondering what a different take will look like.
Pretty quick reboot for such a successful franchise. 2012 is gonna be one busy movie schedule.
Best news Ive heard all day.
I'm actually happy about this. I liked the first two movies all well and good, but I really thought they were mis-cast and Spidey was missing his major power during a chunk of his screen time... his wit. They friggin nailed it in the first one during the cage match. Hilarious.
THIS. a million times over.
My major problem with the live-action "Spider-Man" series has always been the overdose of angst & seriousness. I know Spidey has a lot of shit in his life to brood over but that doesn't mean we want/need to SEE all of it going on!!
Third movie was bad because of Sony's directorial mandates. We need this bad guy because it will sell more toys or the kiddies will really like it. It's more about the marketing and the special effects than the story these days. The movies with both are the ones that do well.
I wish sony would loose the license and Marvel would get it back. Also what is the Mystery of the elusive good 3rd super hero film. Usually the first two are good and the 3rd sucks, and after that it gets worse, it's like a rule. It's been happening since the Christopher Reeve superman movies.
Honestly i'd rather have a 3rd season of spectacular spiderman
I am happy.
