Homesick is definitely not what I’d prefer, and like I’ve said before, I’m not gonna be hot about this if he’s on the run and can’t be around his regular supporting cast. Home Run? Nah.
It was bound to be delayed, so no surprise there. Don't really care about the title one way or the other. As long as the movie itself is fun!
As a couple other people above me have mentioned, I think it came from the fact that Spider-Man is finally "home" at Marvel. In a way, it was a subtle jab at Sony. I personally don't dislike that it's become a trend for the series, but I must admit I don't entirely understand why it continued past the first film. I honestly didn't really like the title "Far From Home". I didn't hate it by any means, but to me it sounded a bit clunky (which I'm fine with for something like Star Wars or even "Into the Spiderverse"...but this particular case just didn't do it for me). I also felt like it was trying too hard to be clever. Homecoming is a legitimately clever title, because it provides a meta commentary as well as references something in the film. "Far From Home" is certainly a reference to something in the film too, but it doesn't have the same real-world connection that made "Homecoming" clever. They could have just called it "Spider-Man Goes Global" or something. If Homesick is truly the title of the third film, I like it a bit better than FFH just because it sounds smoother. That said, it still lacks the double-meaning that Homecoming had, which to me gives it that same "trying too hard to be clever" vibe. If they're just going to use word "home" without a double-meaning...I prefer Home Run. Make it a baseball movie. Marvel does a lot of different genres, but they don't have a sports movie yet. What better place to do one than in their most low-key series? Apparently Spider-Man even has a villain with a baseball past...Boomerang! That would be a fun movie.
'Spider-Man 3' Jolt: Jamie Foxx Returning as Electro (Exclusive) | Hollywood Reporter Jamie Foxx is reprising his role from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Max Dillon / Electro in the third MCU Spider-Man film!
The more I read about all these future MCU plans, the more thankful I am that they got to Endgame when they did and that I am no longer invested in any it. Because most of these new ideas - particularly anything & everything involving multiverse shit aka the ONE thing I hate even more than time travel - sounds beyond f'ing terrible.
Prediction: They're leaning hard into the "Spider-Verse" multi-dimensional concept and probably setting up a narrative reason for Tom Holland to fight Sony's Venom and Morbius without putting them in the MCU. More specific prediction: This is gonna open the same year as Flash and his multi-dimensional shenanigans, and it'll be like when Civil War and Batman V. Superman went toe-to-toe with the same premise all over again.
Obviously this is going to be like JK Simmons back as JJJ, and not some multiverse stuff. Cause remember, his Electro died in ASM2.
Most likely. But I don't mind him returning. Yes he was terrible in ASM 2 but that was due to awful direction and script. I have high hopes this time
Well based on the leaked Sony emails, Feige liked Jamie Foxx as Electro, he even gave Sony notes on how to improve him, which Sony ignored. So not surprised that he see's potential on Jamie Foxx if his plan is being back Electro And lets all keep in mind if Jamie Foxx is given better material and direction, maybe he'll do Electro alot better this time around
Jamie Fox is a good actor, maybe they can make him more like the Ultimate version of Electro. He's was usually just in it for the money and just a hired thug.
