Hit Target up today to fill my plastic crack addiction, I had some extra $$ to blow on some toys. It's a rare thing these days Bought a cheap old school $40 charcoal grill , grill accessories, chicken, hotdogs and 2lbs of burger. Oh yah and a sprinkler No toys, but it feels good to be the one grilling this time. Usually I smell other people's grills and go hungry. I've also accomplished a tiny goal in life, to grill in my own backyard someday . Now Im stuffed, and bored... anyone get the grill out yet?
We BBQ year round. It is harder in winter, but totally worth it. Cheers to your BBQ and cooking meat on an open flame! ***clink***
If I had a back yard, I'd be all over it. Apartment living is great and it sucks all at the same time.
I've been able to get it out twice, so far, this year. I hope to maybe get it going next weekend, if the weather is nice.
You spent money that could have gone on TFs on a barbecue? Dude, I'm drunk and even I have to ask: what the hell is wrong with you? You live on toast and water if necessary, but you don't compromise your Transformers.
I feel like a loser when looking in the kids section. They should have a special "Collecters" section!
I once stored all my lunch money in my locker in order to buy TFs, and wound up spending it all on food anyways!
I started up the grill about 2 weeks ago to make sure it still worked. A week later, we found a bird building a nest in it. The grill hadn't been used in over 2 years. In those 2 years, nothing had decided to make it their home. I use it once, and a damn bird decides to turn it into an apartment. I cleaned it out, and the next day, the nest was back. So now, I have to leave the lid open so nothing else moves in. I closed it for 5 minutes, and the bird flew back in.
No they shouldn't because they're kids toys and you're a kid. BBQ'ing is good yo. I got my grill out back but I only really fired it up maybe 4 times last summer.
All they had was a bunch of old Animated figs, and Cheetor. Dammit Cheetor. And those big red & blue knockoffish robots that sit on the leader shelf that look like they're from the1980's, galacto robo or something. cooked a huge thick onion/green pepper burger . bbq chicken FTW!
I bought a Weber gas grill a couple of months ago for a party I was throwing...I've brought it out about a dozen times since then. Used it yesterday to make some kebabs. Nice number...I could cook through time if I had to. Cooked everything from fish and veggies to a leg of lamb on it with good results. Only minor complaint I have is that the grill trim is the color of human feces.
How'd you cook the fish? Use any oils or anything? Ive grilled about everything but fish. Fried plenty but have'nt tried grilling them yet Put hickory chips on the coals for the chicken, hard to go back after using them.
I love to grill. Do it year-round. Fish is tricky to grill. I usually place it on foil, add some salt and pepper, lemon and wrap it up. Toss on the grill and your good to go. If it is a nice thick salmon fillet you can forgo the wrapping but, always place foil down so it doesn't break apart and fall through the grills. I grill fish for the woman........hate the stuff myself.
