i've seen a lot of debate as to who or what the fallen is peppered amongst numerous threads, and having not found one already i figured making a dedicated one would help clear some clutter


i think the fallen refers to the decepticons as a whole faction, because with the loss of the allspark and their leader they are left at a disadvantage, and have as such fallen from superiority, and would be out for revenge

I would think "the Fallen" represent the Decepticons in general. The quote from Transformers.com leads me to believe the movie will revolve around the comeback of Megatron (probably near the end of it anyway).

 

All the little tid-bits keep pointing to Megatron so that's also who I'm thinking the title is about. Which would be good since they hired the voice talent that they did and they are going to need a bot who can go toe to toe with Prime.

If any other dead 'cons will be back I'm not sure. Not like they really contributed much the first time and most of the dead were just characters made for all that human/Autobot proganda that was the first film

To me, this means Starscream will be returning to Earth after a trip to Cybertron to rally forces with a cadre of Decepticons in tow to try to put an end to the Autobots and humanity for what they did to Megatron.

 

i could have sworn there was an article posted last month "confirming" that it was reference to the comic character, with all the darkness and flames and shit.

i think that Revenge of the Fallen referring to someone who is "fallen" as in dead is really really lame, so i was relieved when i read that it was going to be an actual character named "The Fallen".

but apparently no one else remembers that thread, so you are all probably right. which sucks.

 

I remember what you're talking about. It was essentially just speculation. The way the title was officially anounced to be true by Hasbro, it seemed to hint at the whole Decepticons returning to get revenge. While it would be cool to see a giant alien robot on fire that turns into a tank on screen, I just don't see them using the Fallen in the movies. From what I know, he's supposed to be in the Universe line at some point, or they were planning to put him in it at one point.

Wasnt Cybertron suppose to be ''ravaged'' and destroyed by the war.... I mean logically there s no more Cybertron... So why would Starscream fly back there??? Hum....

 

O honustly would like the fallen to be in the movie(starts running like hell)

 

For all anyone knows the reinforcements SS went to get weren't on Cybertron but somewhere else.

 

according to reign of starscream, there were some reinforcements on mars, but i have a feeling cybertron is still out there
gotta wait for issue 3 to come out in aus though
