This can be for anything related to the property. I know some of the figures fall under other lines but there was no thread specifically to cover all Star Blazers toys and models etc.

I will start it off with this model of Analyzer.

My hope is that those of you with more than me can post awesome pictures here. Anyone have some girly statues as well as Analyzer?

I have the Yuria and Makoto statues as well as the chogokin model of the 2199 Yamato ship. Don't have pictures yet, but will probably post them soon.

    Nice!

I've only recently decided to get model-kits again, but I haven't gotten any of my orders delivered, yet. So here are my old Yamato-related pics, instead:

I was about 80% finished with the 1/72 Cosmo Zero but moved onto other projects.

Still need to pick up that Analyzer!

You could've made it more inclusive and dropped the "2199" out of the thread title. It's not like there's a lot of new "classic" Yamato merch going around now that there's a new version of the show.

I mainly used the 2199 title to help the threads google juice. Please do post any and all Starblazers/Yamato info & pictures here. If any mod wants to remove the 2199 from the title be my guest.

I also have the SOC Yamato but it was a bit small for me. I would like to get the 1/500th scale too. I'd love to see some pictures of it made by a average person.

They should really do an Akira Yamamoto 2.0. The first one didn't turn out as well as it should have...

Did a quick build of the 1/72 Kodai Cosmo Zero:

As such, I'm not that impressed with this 1/72 kit. Way too simple. Really needs to be painted and detailed/panel-lined, as the default colored plastic is too bland. The ordnances need to be glued to the ship for placements.

Bandai is overpricing this kit at msrp. This kit should only cost US$15 max.

I got a whole bunch of those ancient non-scale Yamato kits, the really small ones that cost like maybe 2-3 dollars each.

    I still haven't built a single one. :(

So after some simple panel-lining and gluing the missiles and tanks...

Kodai's A1 looks a bit better now, I reckon. At least, to me.

Not gonna bother with the rest of thedecals and dunno if/when I'll even paint the pilot.

    I'll prolly try panel-wash technique on Rei's A2 when I get time.

    :D

My 1/1000 Yamato showed up today. Really weird thing, the bottom of the box had the box for the old tiny kits, and even had the bends for when its cut out. The runner for the kit was even included. Is this normal? Or is this a flub by the factory?!

If anyone has this kit, can they confirm?

Won't get mine till next week, but yeah. That's normal. Tradition or something.

Check this out for explanation (and other kits): Yamato 2199 Model Kits, 2010-2013 | CosmoDNA
