This thread will constantly be updated, so stay tuned for new pics! When I found a large amount of intact cardboard sheets I knew one thing: thats going to become my Soundwave Costume. I cant get this thing done for the Dutch Transformers Convention, But I hope I can finish the helmet in time to show there. So The whole afternoon I was buisy modding a cap XD The helmet is almost done, it only needs the insigna ontop. And I made a concept for how the whole suit will be looking. Its only a Concept and the Legs probally turn out different. I already have a small WIP of the helmet, sorry for the crappy webcam pic. Good pics and completion of the shapes coming today.

hmm .... maybe the chest area needs to be flatter??? I dunno if u are going for G1 accuracy or the cute soundwave girl route.

Personally I would make the chest area and shoulders much bulkier - and the head slightly smaller - to give a more convincing proportional effect. But since the head is looking sweet, I think your proportions will be a fun interpretation. Great work so far.
Thanks for the nice comments everyone! And yes im going for on the femme route lol. I just need to get my figure in shape and not eat to much energon XD As for the proportions, im giving my own swing to it. I made the antenna horn thingies longer just because of my own taste. And about other proportions.. The chest and shoulders make up the big size of the helmet. About a minion.. I'm first going to complete the costume to get in time for the Rotf Premiere. After that I'll start making Lazerbeak and Ravage. And.. now on to the Updates! The glasses are not the permanent ones. Still searching for transparant Red plastic. Coloured the helmet with Car spray coat.. My dad has a car dealer(Porsche) so I could get the spray paint for a cheap prize. The Con logo on the front was a little joke and to explain my dad some Transformer origins Because everyone gets tired of it, here is some BLASTING THE CAMERA.

Well I'll take the helmet to the Tf Conversions (I think its called like that this year) I don't think I can finish the suit before sunday. And again, thanks for the kind comments everyone!
wow im also making a soundwave costume! but its made of foam and weather resistant fabric so yeah, but SWEET! better show us the full version k? btw im 15 woot
It's looking good so far. I think if you are wanting to go for that "femme" look, that you should consider angling the front of the tape door so it leans back like the mock-up you did.
