Few hours ago, I screwed up my laptop by accidentally deleting the whole registries from wow6432node and it gone bonkers. I got panicked and tried restart the laptop the repair this problem but the recovery disc that I'm using failed to fix the problem. All I've got is a blank log in background with symbols and I can't do anything but shutting down the laptop. And sad thing is I seldom backup my laptop and no recovery points can be found. Hope you guys could give me some solutions to fix this problem, I don't want to lose all my stuff by reformat the laptop. And the model of my laptop is Lenovo Ideapad Y580 with Windows 7 OS.
Give this a go - Manually Restore the Registry From its Backup in Windows (Windows 7 / Vista) - Sysnative Forums If that doesn't fix it your pretty much fucked as far as Windows 7 goes. Take your hard drive out, buy cable adaptors or a caddy to evacuate your stuff with another computer, put it back in and start over.
I used this method from a Youtube video that I stumbled upon, and it works like a charm. Thanks for the help though.
