Okay, so I'm not sure if this should go here or in the request section. If so, feel free to move it.

I am having trouble with a piece on a figure, and I need some suggestions.

I am attempting to kitbash a Siege Megatron and a BM Tankorr. So far it's gone really, really well. All of the joints thus far have fit.

However, the front treads meeting the backpack are causing me ome issues. I came up with a double hinge, but I have no way of locking it into place. The tank breaks right down the middle. If I lock it, I can't fold up the backpack. Nor will I be able to get the front treads on the ground.

If people could look at this and offer me suggestions, I would appreciate it. I have a 3D printer, so I could try my hand at modeling it. I just don't know what it should look like.

    Thanks everyone!

So if I get you right you need something to make it lock/tap/peg in place?
I'd suggest some LEGO parts. Some Technic pins and wholes might work. Or c-clips and bars.

Solid advice. I can't see the pics, so I can't make suggestions.

    Fixed

I was thinking something more that had a ratchet of some kind. There's not a lot of room for legos, the space is pretty limited. Whatever I do I going to need to be custom built

Once it's finished, Yes, I will.

I haven't fixed it. That's why I'm asking for help. I need ideas for the design.

Magnets work great for awkward connection points
