Okay, so for christmas I'm gonna go get a PS3 Slim with Uncharted 2 and I just had a few questions:

I went through the Build-a-Bundle system on Gamestop's site just to see what I'll need and it appears that the system will come with all the cables required to use the thing. Are there any cables that are missing from the bundle that I'll need?

Are there any other acessories you would recommend? (Besides the headset, that is.)

I'm planning to pick up the Ratchet and Clank games in the future, as well. Any more games you'd recommend?

HDMI cable? It doesn't come with that. For accessories, I'd say a blu ray player remote (about $20). Makes watching blu ray movies easier, and probably a couple extra controllers.

As for games, CoD MW2 is obvious. Infamous and Batman if you like those type of games.

Got MW2 and Batman for the 360 already. Totally forgot about Infamous.

As for HDMI, that's the HD cable I'm guessing. I usually just use the standard audio visual cables that come with the system, so I don't think I'll need it yet...

If you're playing on a non-hi def TV you won't need it. But it's really nice for a hi-def one.

Saint's Row 2. Haven't had so much fun with this sort of game since GTA: Vice City.

Getting AS2 for the 360 and ironically picked up Saints Row 2 two weeks ago.

I should mention that I'll mostly end up getting multiplatform games for the 360.

HDMI cables and add me to your friend list. Those are the only things you need to do. Once you do that everything else will find Its way to you.

As has been mentioned, you have to have an HDMI cable if you're using an HD monitor. Otherwise, frankly, you're wasting the system. You can pick these up for cheap, too. Never ever buy a brand (particularly anything with "Monster" in its name) at the store and use a place like monoprice.com instead.

Congrats man. I suggest picking up some of the titles that came out this year like Infamous, Demon Souls, Uncharted 2 ect. Also pick up Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Resistance 1 and 2, MGS4, and Killzone 2. That should hold you over until God of War 3, Modnation Racers, L.A. Noire, and Heavy Rain come out sometime next year.

If you're for looking something different, Valkyria Chronicles is down to cheap now too, $20 I think.

Hey OP, thought you'd, and anybody else, would like to know that Gamestop is having it's annual after Xmas sale tommorow and Sunday: Buy 2 pre-owned games, get one free.

Good time to snag some games.

BTW, does anybody have any idea what Little Big Planet goes for pre-owned? I can't find anything but the GOTY version on their website anywhere.

Lol, people are still suggesting multiplaform.... Though if you are even thinking of getting FF13, I'd definitely suggest the PS3 version.

Also Primal, download the demo to the Ratchet and Clank games. I think they still have the Future Tools of Destruction demo. See if it's your cup of oil. Platforming, third person shooter, sci fi stuff, with very colorful and animated graphics. It's a pretty fun series even if you are not familiar with the characters.

I think there is a demo to LBP, so you can try that before buy as well.

And even OLDER potentially good game is Folklore. Best as I can describe it is Devil May Cry meets a Tim Burton Movie, and to this date is probably one of the only well-implemented uses of the Motion Controls, and has a pretty awesome story. It's a launch titles so it should be cheap as hell.

    Oh and Wipeout.

Resistance 2 is older but pretty fucking awesome, and Killzone is definitely a showpeice to be sure.
