    Baby Mine from Dumbo

When She Loved Me from Toy Story 2

pretty much any song from the musical Next to Normal

"How could I Ever Forget" (when they recall the day her infant son died) VERY SAD SONG!

"Aftershocks" (when the ghost of her dead son reminds her he is still here despite the doctors attempts at getting her to move on)

For some reason, when i listen to the hunger games soundtrack, the song Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift makes me tear up a little. Makes me think of my little brother having to go through something like the Hunger Games

You'll Be in My Heart by Phill Collins, for personal reasons

Every Rose Has Its Thorn. Dont know why, but it does

I don't know about actually cry, but this song always makes me feel something as it came out around the time my father got ill and died and always reminds me of when we used to hang out and build stupid stuff together in the shed. And it's got Optimus Prime in the brilliant video so there's something for everyone. It's not even a sad song. Just reminds me of the good times gone.

I cry every time I hear Friday or Hot Problems.

It's hard not to cry when you're laughing so hard at the terribleness of the songs.

yup my mom (may she rest in peace) sang that to me when I was a baby. She died when I was 9 months pregnant with her only grandchild. I sing it all the time to my son now. Some of the lyrics fit him now with him having autism and being teased for it at school

this gets me every time too.
as for mine famous blue raincoat, take this longing and green sleeves all by leonard cohen all get me. loom of the land, slowly goes the night and do you love me (part 2) by nick cave and the bad seeds are pretty sad ones too. I can think of loads of other songs by the smiths like half a person and the cure like pretty much every song off dissintergration.

As for more modern(ish) songs demolishion by patrick wolf is pretty devastating if you listen to it after the previous song on his first album called the childcatcher. T.lime tree by bright eyes is so sad it practically sucks the oxygen from the room. Oh maker by janelle monae nearly made me cry in a happy way

If the context is right, or even just your own mood, I can see some of the music listed making people cry. MTME mentioned 'Baby Mine', its a song from Dumbo. On its own, the song is emotional, but when listened to knowing where and why its played or indeed watching the scene in question makes it heartbreaking.

This song always makes me feel a little melancholy, but its beautiful at the same time.

So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold. It's like it was written for my dead brother.

This is a thread for the mature adults young one, come back when you have some experience. Seriously, this is the kind of thing a high school jock would say.

The rest of us have had experiences in our lives that affected us on very deep personal levels and these songs remind us of those experiences. Real men aren't afraid to cry or show real emotions.

That said, I'll add to my list: "Candle on the Water" by Helen Reddy.

Here are some that make me teary eyed or even cry because they have a special meaning or memory:
    - "Amazing Grace" (most versions)
    - "Tears" by The Chameleons
    - "Windmills of Your Mind" by Jack Jones (one of my dad's favorite songs when he was alive)
    - "Here's Where the Story Ends", by The Sundays
    - "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel
    - "Leaving on a Jetplane" by John Denver
    - "Somewhere Down the Road" by Barry Manilow
    - "In My Life" by The Beatles
    - "Leave Out All the Rest" Linkin Park

There are lots of others, I'm very sentimental...
