In my short time of activity on here, I have seen threads regarding character theme songs. However, I haven't seen one for songs that could serve as themes for storylines in canon. So, what are some songs that you think could fit certain plotlines or overarching themes, or even describe a character's feelings regarding an event in canon?

    As a few examples:

    Judas Priest- Stained Class
This song, to me at least, reflects both the corrupt Autobot ruling class of the G1 golden age, and Megatron farther down the line as he lost his focus.

    Heart- Allies
This one as a whole perfectly fits the situation of the G1 femmes and their underground guerrilla fighting. The song's music video even suggests this.

    Steeler- Serenade
An obscure band for sure, but a brilliant metal ballad that sounds like G1 Optimus singing to an absent Elita. (And, in an unusual twist, this features the same drummer that played on the Lion Transformers theme.)

    this is transformers.

every situation can be complimented very well, with The Touch, Dare, Dare to be Stupid, or any of the other Transformers the movie soundtracks.

we don't need to add new ones. we have plenty that will always work well for transformers.

After a futile battle and sacrificing himself in vain, an Autobot soldier loses consciousness and fades away into the black, losing all hope. Time passes but the soldier is not aware. He can sense his friends in danger, fighting off an unknown foe. As the chaos breaks out the song kicks in. The brawl continues on as he is dormant and helpless to aid his brothers. After a period, the battle ends and festivities begin. Are his friends okay? The celebrations are unfamiliar to him, is it the enemy celebrating his friends' demise? Helplessness and dispair take over. Suddenly, he is shocked back to life; friends, allies and strangers surround him. He is baffled at being alive, let alone back with his comrades. Everyone is okay, and now there is now a chance for a good future.

    That song, was
"Weird Al" Yankovic - Dare to be Stupid

    Phil Collins- Do You Remember?

I think parts of it are appropriate to Starscream and Skyfire's falling out and how both felt the other was the "traitor."

"You could've come over to my side
    You could've let me know
You could've tried to see the difference between us
But it seemed too far for you to go"

"Eternal" by Evanescence would work really well in some of the more recent TF fiction.

Countdown to Extinction by Megadeth kind of describes the war between Autobots and Decepticons.
LOL just pictured in my head a Katy Perry pop song playing to Transformers. It just doesn't fit.
