Depending on the source, it might just be that someone heard that the original assortment was being discontinued (because Hasbro wanted to start a new assortment), and falsely concluded that the entire line had been cancelled. Thoughts?
I think the key to that rumor was that the reasoning for the rumor was never revealed. The source could've stayed as secret, but the evidence that brought them to that conclusion would've helped to support/dispell the rumor. Just a thought.
