Yeah so Transformers can scan any car they want and they turn into it. Right. But what i don't get if they really wanted to win this war wouldn't they just scan this huge truck or something so they are much, much bigger? and stronger? Like im sure Jazz would have won if he scanned a giant truck. Discuss!!
They scan vehicles that match their body size and functionality. Hence why Prime is a truck, Brawl is a tank, Jazz is a car, Starscream is a jet, etc.
I'm pretty sure it has to do with their protoform size or probably a personal preference in the alt. mode they choose.I see your point, though, the movie would be boring IMO if all of them scanned, say, a big truck or a tank.
Yeah I see now, In the movie Jazz went to the car place and there was many small cars like his one but he seemed to look at his one (I forgot the name ) I guess its either protoform size or they like it
Well, that'd be no fun. They have to milk this cash cow for all it's worth. In all seriousness, Opticron pretty much hit the nail on the head. Each character only has a certain amount of mass they can use to make a new alt mode so a guy who's only big enough for a small car can't suddenly become an aircraft carrier. It's all very complex made up science, you see.
I would also say it has to do with precision and whether or not to scare the crap out of civilians. The smaller the vehicle, the easier and more agile it would be to fight and get around. Also, if Autobots want to convince people they're the good guys, going for a tank probably wouldn't be the best idea.
Yeah, that's true. I'm glad they updated some of the character's alt's though. If they didn't, it would simply be a live action version of the '86 movie. That wouldn't be a bad thing, I like the "re-invention" of the characters though
I think it's a combination of size and preference. I'd choose a solstice over a shitty 1990's toyota tercel anyday.
I hope there is a back-story to Bonecrusher, since constructicons will be in the film, and Bonecrusher really was a guardian of Cybertron.
