I've watched every single Episdoe from every Single TV Series, but RID.
I took one look at it and though it was utter garbage.
I want too watch it, but I'm afraid it wont be worth it.

its very dull and not much happens, but I say just watch it at your own pace, you can't do a marathon viewing session of it - you may enjoy it, each person is different

RiD is something of an exception to the general rule of Japanese Transformers cartoon storytelling, because it's NOT a faux-epic sprawling space opera. It's episodic silly fun, and it develops a continuing plot about halfway through (at which point I think it distinctly improves) - if you don't go IN expecting epic drama, and just want a bit of fun, RiD provides what you're looking for.

    Also, Sky-Byte.

I think the essential rule is: "Dude, if you can watch all of fucking ENERGON, then you shouldn't have a problem with RiD."

I watched it with my son. It's no Beast Wars or Animated, but it's OK. TBH, I can't bring myself to watch A/E/C for similar reasons - 5 minutes and I need to switch it off!

It's shit but if you've seen Armada, Energon and Cybertron then you're probably immune to shit by now.

It's weird... RiD has all the same slapstick goofball stuff and ridiculous dialog that I dislike so much, but the artwork is so attractive, I'm able to look past it and enjoy it.

RiD is my second favorite TF show (after G1),it's mostly vehicle Transformers, they have cool battles, and there's some comedic parts, too. It never gets as serious as Beast Wars, but never gets as jokey as Animated.
Plus,it has the coolest character designs of any non-G1 series, but obviously that's just my opinion.

Aw, c'mon, RiD is WAY more jokey than Animated!

Good point, you can't get much worse than Energon.

Most of the enthusiasm at the time of air play was due the re-introduction of the Autobots, and eventually the Decepticons.
While we're no longer starved of said factions, its probably worthwhile introducing yourself to the origin of the Scourge/ Nemesis Prime character, discovering what the go is with that Skybite character, and seeing how the studio tries to justify a Transformer with an alt mode of a hand.

like what's been said.....Skybyte. Best reason to watch, he's an awesome character. You either go, "A shark swimming through concrete chomping on cars is awesome!"

or you'll find the whole thing ridiculously stupid.

    Who's the greatest Shark around?
Who the greatest Shark in town?
    Sky-byte! That's me!

Seriously though, its a fun series, if you lived through the Unicron trilogy, you can do RiD

If you lived through Masterforce and Wheelie from Headmasters and the Armada Trilogy, RID should be no problem. There's no kid character that's so annoying that makes you want to turn the TV off, the plot may not be the greatest its at least consistant. Skybite is awesome, so is Rail Racer, the Magnus/Op rivalry is pretty cool. Sideburn's obsession with little red sports cars and the poor female owner who's always getting accidentally in the way of the giant robots is a scream. Just think of it as more of a comedy and expect to laugh at the show and you should be fine enough to get through it.

Fairlady beat me to a few of the same highlights while I was writing my post, but that just shows they stick in your mind. :)

A lot of it's dumb but it's still great fun. Just go into it expecting a slightly more tongue-in-cheek version of Transformers. There are just so many great moments, from Sideburn chasing a variety of red cars to seeing Predacons wearing home made Optimus Prime disguises.
There's a fair share of decent action, especially later in the series. And probably the best version of Ultra Magnus ever. Excellent animation too. And Koji is one of the few human sidekicks that isn't irritating.
Plus (without giving too much away), there's a certain giant Transformer to look forward to.
