Being a ''shopkeeper'' and buying from Hasbro they have a total embargo on all images from the movie toys until next year, even the lower down employees dont get to see the images let alone people outside the company.

All you recieve if your a buyer is the literature which has the words ''Top secret'' over the toys name and price point and even that hasnt been released yet.

I see what your saying. I'm just afraid with all this combining going on, it might take away from the impact of Devastator... I just don't want to see combining becoming a "hoakey" gimmick.

 

OK. so i totally called it with my photoshop of superpants prime... YES... i know it's out of scale. i'm working on that. but it was just an idea. prime would have to fly to take on a monster like devastator. simply put. how does prime fly? why, with a super awesome powerful jetpack weapon thing.... a.k.a. jetfire. so...



with updates to come. it could be worse. Optimus could combine with Wheelie.
just remember that.

and before anyone complains about "optimus prime is already bad-ass"... just remember. chocolate was already bad-ass before it combined with peanut butter.

To be honest... combining is kind of a hoakey gimmick to begin with. All I'm really saying is that I'm going to wait and see what happens... if it sucks on the big screen... well that's a shame, but I'm not going to pre-judge the movie.

 

With the sheer size difference between Op and Jetfire I'm assuming they won't be combining ala Devastator but more like Armada Megatron and Tidalwave - Jetfire will become massive weapons for Optimus to wield against Devastator and/or The Fallen.

In other words, the picture Mister Gone posted is the most likely way this is going to work. And that means  

 

Yeah, the Meteor Unit is probably the best comparison to how they'll most likely combine. I've been thinking the same thing myself most of the day.

 

Since I grew up with armada, half of me is like "This will never work for the movie." and the other half is "Omg jetfirejetfirejetfire armada aramda!!!!!!!"

 

im right there with ya... i got your back...They are gunna do a good job with this... Prime will not be combined with jetfire the entire movie..prob just 2 times IMO...Prime will still kick ass bye himslef with or w/o jetfire...The battles can now be fought in the air, space, new york to china..wherever with jetfire primes capabilities are endless.

ummm. what? since when is optimus a combeiner? it would be cool to see but come on. why can't prime be prime?

 

He's still Prime, just now he can combine with someone to give him some extra weapons and the ability to fly, which will come in handy when the Decepticons attack, and even more so when battling against a giant combiner made up of seven individual robots.

 

Since Masterforce, IIRC.

 

Still prefer to see prime as a SINGLE robot instead of combiner...

 

Uhh... he still will be a single robot. I'm betting you only ever see him combined once... maybe twice...

 

Jetfire + Prime = movie duocons?

Here's what I'm seeing: A couple of Activator-sized toys, a plane and a truck, that spring together to form a robot, just like the old G1 duocons Battletrap and whatever the hell the other one was called.

I called it first, Hasbro!
