Yeah, exactly... I had to double check that list to see if my eyes were deceiving me... And the armor thing for Scattorshot??? Wonder what that is about since Scattorshot was already listed above...

 

I like that the walmart site lists the piledrivers in Rumble's info.

 

That Ford MU has to be the Mustang.... probably its inevitible repaint, or else another straight re-release, like tracks and meister, though I don't recall Grimlock or Wheeljack being hard to find like those two were??

Both were featured in the internal Wal*Mart database listings Powered Convoy posted a while back:

My best guess whould be that "Armor Scattorshot" is a redeco of Cybertron Defense Scattorshot.
The "Me" in the "R03" entry apparently just means "Mega". I saw this toy listed in an old Takara listing as "Mega R03 Scavenger", but that was the working name for the (unreleased) Takara version. I might have just seen what might be the final Hasbro name a few days ago, and oddly enough, it's yet ANOTHER name shared with a Cybertron Mini-Con.

*Leader Optimus Prime 2

Also found listed in Wal*Marts internal databases before:

The prevalent theory is that this is going to be a repaint of Leader Class Optimus Prime that will reflect the color scheme of the LoC Optimus Prime repaint.

Finally:

*Alternators FORD MU

From the last bunch of Wal*Mart listings:

This is either
a) Grimlock repackaged in the new "fishbowl" boxes
b) Wheeljack repackaged in the new "fishbowl" boxes
c) a redeco of Grimlock or Wheeljack.

 

Could they just be the figures repackaged for the Primus Unleashed packaging?

 

I hope so, because I *really* don't want an Optimus redeco where all they do is change the blue stuff to black stuff. It doesn't change the overall look enough. If they repaint Prime, it ought to be a black one as Nemesis Prime. Or at least make the cab blue or something a la Armada Powerlinx Prime. Enough so you'd notice it was different at first glance, unlike that LoC redeco.

Do they usually change the item #'s just for a packaging change, though? I wouldn't have thought so...

 

Maybe the voyager redeco is simply Nemesis Breaker? The evil Leobreaker repaint?

I agree. They could at least make him Ultra Magnus or even just get creative and come up with something unique. The black instead of blue just isn't creative. I'd understand if it were in some gift set with Megatron or somethng sold for a lower price than the two would be seperate, but 40 dollars for a tiny palette swap re-release is asking a lot. What's the purpose?

Anyway, is it even confirmed for sure that "optimus 2" is just the same as the LOC one, or is that just speculation?

 

Just speculation at this time, though I'd consider it very likely.

 

Well if it does happen maybe it'll be a bit different, more intricate at least. I'd expect that given the price and obvious increase in mold complexity they'd have to work with.

 

I hope it's Wheeljack. I still haven't seen him here yet.

As for the potential repaints, they've got me really excited. CD Scattorshot is one kickass figure, and a cool repaint (please be a Decepticon) would rock!

 

How cool would it be if the Mustang listed was red and had the Decepticharge head like the remold was intended to before it became Wheeljack? I would SO buy that.

Haven't you made mention of a "Construction colored" redeco of Mudflap?

 

I've seen a Takara listing for "Mega R03 Scavenger" listed after Demolishor/Mudflap a while back. But the name "Scavenger" was a Takara working name (for a toy that never came out), and the Hasbro version, assuming it is a Mudflap redeco, might very well be something completely different in the end.

Either way, I've been told this toy, whatever it is, will be in one of the next Voyager waves after Soundwave and Nemesis Breaker, so we should see it pretty soon.
