    There was a subplot in the Defiance comic where they discover smashed relics all with the same symbol on them, a symbol that's also on Optimus' head. Ratchet hypothesized that Optimus was somehow related to the legendary Dynasty of Primes.

    I believe back in Feb or so Lorenzo diBonaventura said Revenge would explore the origin of the Primes.

    The cover of the official novelisation just makes me think of that RoboCop movie poster (I think it was for number two) where he's standing next to a cracked concrete wall.
