Even aside from size, we probably need a new Sky-Byte anyway. I don't have the figure, but if he's anything like some of the other T30 Voyagers of around the same time like he seems to be (particularly thinking of Roadblock), he's probably fairly hollow and "facade-y" in a way that current figures really aren't.
I want them to make a new Sky-Byte because I don't have a Sky-Byte at all, and the Cyberverse ones don't fit in with generations like, at all.
Not an inaccurate description, but I still feel that he's a good figure. He stays on my shelf with Kingdom BW and RID Megatron and I just pretend they were always there.
I'm thinking Scourge could just be the robot (so one of the voyager slots) while the leader class comes from UT as CD Red Alert from Doubledealer (to go with selects Hot Shot.)
I really doubt they do RID Scourge the same year as Laser Prime and not include his trailer. That doesn't smell right to me.
I think they're implying it would be a Netflix ER Prime situation, where it is a redeco of the Leader-class Laser Prime, but lacking the trailer so it's dropped down to the Voyager pricepoint.
No, the mainline figure in the situation would be Leader-class Laser Optimus w/ trailer, and then there release in this subline would be the robot redecoed as Scourge released without the trailer as a Voyager. That's what they're getting at. Even if the Scourge in this subline is Leader-class and includes the trailer same as the mainline Laser Prime release, we're not getting a Leader-class Scourge in the mainline, for pretty much absolute certain.
If this "Velocitron" walmart line has more than one wave, I wonder if instead of more cars, the other waves will theme themselves around other colony worlds. Also I'm very confident that the leakers have confirmed RID Scourge will be the leader for the line/wave, which makes sense cause I'd be very disappointed if Scourge went without his trailer.
We know we're getting Metroplex so that kind of covers Gigantion at least since Quickmix and Menasor would need to be pretty damn humongous and new molds.
But didn't the Netflix thing only "work" because Hasbro basically took the ER Prime trailer and packed it with the Spoiler Pack Nemesis? I'm not going to pretend it's that easy, but it seems like a situation where Hasbro was able to pivot in such a way that the trailer was still put to use in that same wave. In the case of RiD Scourge, there's really nobody else you could pair that black trailer with.
I was thinking that if Metroplex is as he was in the original line - a much taller Leader than Prime/Megs, then both of the others could be Titans too, and Titan Cyb Metroplex could just be packaged in his shorter "work mode" robot mode to fit in the standard Titan box. Though that's best case scenario IMHO that would require 3 Titan molds.
They don't need to be the colony's from Cybertron, and heck, based on what we're seeing here, don't have to even have any connection to the colony, so long as it fits the theme. Ex: Jungle Planet set could have Cryotek from Dragon Megatron as it's leader
