Aside from a photo months old, when is the toy coming out?

 

Since Impactor is getting a Generations/FOC release as an Onslaught retool, they may have canceled it. Even though the two figures are nothing alike (and, personally, the 3rd party version is vastly superior in being accurate to IDW), it's more than possible the Not-Impactor makers want to play it safe and not have copyright violations slammed down on their heads by Hasbro's legal team citing unlicensed competition with current product (this is why a freely distributed MtG adaption with ponies was taken down by a Cease and Desist letter, as there are official MLP:FIM trading cards from Enterplay even though they're completely unlike the MtG Pony cards)

 

It has not stopped the Gemini bots to come out tho. I prefer the Not-Impactor design to the Hasbro one int hat regard.

 

i doubt hasbro's lackluster attempt is going to slow iGear down. igear will slow iGear down.

I'd love someone to do the math, but if you take announced 3rd Party Products (Damn you Menace!) Vs. Released 3rd party Products I'd love to know that ratio.

 

Well, I know he isn't cancelled, but I'd sure like to know where the hell he is? C'mon IGear, sort it out.

 

After releasing PP05 van bros., iGear is too busy trying to finish up the Mini Warriors line. I'm sure the influx of profit generated from the sales of the MW guys will help them along in getting capital started for other projects (like their Presser/not-Impactor). They also teased Voyager Dinobots (Grimlock included) and PP04 not-Bee/not-CJ, so they have a few directions as to which way they'll go for their next non-MW release.

I'm hoping after seeing Peaugh's advanced review of Apex & Gemini that Mech Ideas will give us an Impactor & Rack 'n' Ruin. At this point they could probably get it released before iGears Presser.

Im not personally crazy about Rack n Ruin but I recognize there is a lot of love for the character out there. I cant wait for Impactor as well. It seemed like Igear was so close the last time we saw pics of him. But I guess once the MW are done we will hopefully get more details or maybe they will just go straight to the Dinobots (I wish)

I think about this release quite a bit. Hope its released soon after the next batch of Mini Warriors. Every time someone brings up the Hasbro Impactor it makes me want the iGear one even more. Ugh.

 

What is igears problem anyway? They have no problem designing things.... CAD renders pop up and get released straight away then we eventually get a release date and pre-orders which gets pushed back... And back... And back.

But where do the delays come from? Mold problems? Factory problems? Cash flow? Part of me feels that 3rd parties don't re-use a molds enough.... Pretty much anything can be pushed to 3+ uses.... I mean obviously that's not everyone's cup of tea but if you already have the mold you might as well milk it... Head robots seem to do this but there out put is on a smaller scale than what igear aims for.

Fansproject have become the worst(or best) at not milking a mold with repaints.... I was sure they'd do a blue or clear green protector to round out the classics hot rod repaints

 

Does anyone with a bit of photoshop skill want to make a few signatures, so we can drive this home a bit more?
