So yeah,I've been thinking of hosting a humorous panel about the G1 cartoon at a convention. It would also be informative at the same time (Telling facts abot the cartoon) And the humorous part would be making fun of it's sheningans like the ridiclous plots and animation errors. Any ideas what i should be talking about?
So in a nutshell,Introduce the franchise's beginning to people in a humorous way.

I've seen it done, and it can go really well, but what you want to talk about will depend on which convention you're at, and specifically, your audience. Audience full of anime fans? Talk about it's japanese roots, how it differed from the normal "robot shows" of the time, the later japanese series, how the continuity has differed between japan and USA, etc. Sci-fi convention? Focus on how it was an innovative concept, tied into a lot of sci-fi tropes, and went on to influence a bunch of other shows and franchises. Comic convention? Talk about the different comic lines, and their differences from the show and eachother.

Knowing where your panel will be held will also give you information like how long you'll have for it, what kind of A/V resources are available, whether or not you'll need a co-panelist, restrictions on content, etc. etc. etc.

The key in a panel is, if you're trying to be informative, to teach the audience something they don't already know. If you're trying to have an open discussion panel, discuss things they want to talk about. If you're trying to entertain, aim for what the audience will find entertaining. In all three cases, work out what your plan long in advance, make it look professional, and practice, practice, practice.

The Girl Who Loved Powerglide and Triple Takeover are good episodes to talk about I think.

Child's Play is a good example of a few too many animation errors, hehe.

A Decepticon Raider In King Arthur's Court is also a good example of the show's lighter side.

    B.O.T. is hilariously bad.

Okay, it's actually just bad, but it still has a lot of things to talk about.

Another humorous thing to explore would naturally be Megatron and Starscream's unusual dynamic, how Starscream manages to survive so many disastrous attempts at mutiny, lol.

It's an anime convention called desucon. And the audience is anime fans, and i actually tought telling about the japanese origins. And i have held a programme once at a convention. From what i know, the A/V resources will be a projector and a huge screen where you can attach your laptop. And sound systems of course so the entire room can hear what i'm saying. About it being an "open panel" I would let people ask things in case they have something to ask or say.

You should also point out the ways in which it is NOT an anime, but rather a collaborative effort between the US, Japan, and Korea, with the writing and fiction (background, character bios, etc), voicing, and soundtrack being done over here, and the animation in Korea, with animation supervision and direction by Japan. And of course the original toys being Japanese, with the exception of Shockwave and any of the post-movie 'bots who weren't previous Japanese toys.

Very true. I was planning of showing a DIACLONE commercial.
Also I also need to use screenshots for some things. The audience is most likely people who don't know much abot the franchise.
