No they don't. I have Prime mode unlocked for the 360 and the colors get reset, but are the same as they were when you first started the game.

While it is possible that the PS3 verson is different than the 360 version, I strongly doubt it.

The only thing I've noticed is that occasionally I'll get random XP on all my other classes... which I think is from completing a Prime Mode challenge. I just got a bonus 500 XP on 3 classes I didn't use at all in the match (I alternate classes... I'll stick to 1 class every 5 levels)

Yep, that's part of Prime mode.
Any of those challenges give the exp to every class.
My first game as a soldier I earned 9,000 exp for the other three classes I didn't even use. XD

So, it's kind of like MW2's Prestige mode? Any other benefits besides the extra XP for unused classes and bragging rights?

Nope, no other bonus... Just challenges and an icon.
Accompanied with the achievement or trophy if those are applicable.

    Oldschool for 2010?

So this "icon", is it the oldschool spinning matrix of leadership that is neatly tucked next to the left of the players name? i.e. TeslaXero, Silent, JuiceY.

Yup, the Matrix that you see next to some players names is the Prime mode reward.

I don't know how thrilled I would be to get all my classes to lvl 25 then press the reset button for an "Icon" next to my name and extra challenges (which wouldn't matter if everyone was already lvl 25)

extra character slots would be nice
