Why would you limit yourself to ONE prime figure? This is such an awesome line.

Good choice with soundwave, not a bad figure. Like everyone, it's hard to settle with just one. I remember when I told myself I'd only get one or two figures of animated. Oh boy, that didn't work out too well :D

Limit yourself to two cyberverses: Arcee and Starscream.

Wheeljack! Awesome transformation, no cheating, like Ratchet, and amazing posability!

Who says cheating is a bad thing? (Looks at DOTM Voyager Optimus).....

    Ok it's a bad thing.

I don't mind some cheating if it results in a more screen-accurate toy. Example: FE Optimus Prime's fake chest windows look better than PRiD Optimus Prime's real chest windows. One looks like the character on the show and the other looks like whatever.

But, imo, cheating is the least of PRiD Ratchet's problems.

That said, I would have loved if -- for the cheating chest door windows on Ratchet -- if they could have just glued in a couple pieces of that transparent blue plastic they used for other parts of the toy. That would have made the fake chest doors a million times easier to accept. That painted grayish-green/blue color they used doesn't even say "windows" to me.

Cheating is ok. But it still is what it is. Something like PRID Arcee it ends up having wonderful results because of it. So I don't mind it. But then when you see something like Ratchet and just see cheated doors on his chest.. eh.. it's a bit of a turn down.

    Soundwave.

stay away from the RiD BB toy and anything based on it its quite unimpressive and really you will wish you would have left it on the peg

Seriously? I think Soundwave's alt mode is perfect for him and looks great!

Perhaps wait a bit to see if something more worthwhile comes along?

Soundwave is poseable and a fun figure. Wheeljack is less poseable [especially in the arms] but he ain't bad.

Vehicon. (yeah, yeah, he's not on the list)

Otherwise, Ratchet or Soundwave. Both are very cool but in different ways.

If you're just getting one, I'd say Ratchet.

Very solid figure, inexplicably novel alt-mode (... he looks like an ambulance you'd actually see on the street. How is this the first time we've gotten one of these?), and integrates well enough as a Classics Ratchet.

Soundwave is more hit-or-miss. I admit I like him more, but I can see people not liking him. His transformation is absurdly simplistic, his arms are loooooooooooooooong and their articulation is... weird.

wheeljack and arcee are my favorite deluxes so far...but from your list...I would go with soundwave. Ratchet is pretty cool...but he is overrated. I can't speak on the bb mold because I don't have him (sticking with the FE version)

It's crazy - but this line is just soooo fun. Make sure to grab all of them while you can, you really won't regret grabbing any of the deluxes (except maybe Bee) IMHO.

As for next purchase, I'd still go with Ratchet or maybe Vehicon if you can find one at that time. Jackie does hoave an awesome transformation and his alt mode is VERY G1, but his face sculpt and characterization (swords?) just kill it for me. Still a good toy but he just doesn't feel like "Wheeljack" IMHO.

The 4 you chose are more or less crap. Save your money or invest in a FE Prime.

    EDIT: Dang, too late!

For me honestly,Ratchet I say is okay but definitely not worth $14.Soundwave also not worth that much either. But as for the Legion size Ratchet he is well worth getting and you save a chunk of change and if they do Soundwave for that line which I think they will you should get that one too.

And what makes it more appealing is two reasons, one is you can get both for less than the cost of one deluxe, and the other thing is they are wayyyyyyy smaller and don't take up a lot of space that deluxes do.But it is really up to you.
