Expect More Grimlock, Dinobots in 'Transformers: The Last Knight'

So he's like a bozo in his personality? A comical relief?

 

i really hope he's not a comic relief character...leave it to simmons & joyce

 

Oh man this movie is looking better and better.

 

That sounds like his RID2015 incarnation. I enjoyed that version of Grimlock, so that's okay.

And imagine if they tried this:

 

Yo, that's gonna be dope AF!

 

He was very much comic relief in the G1 cartoon. I have no problem with it.

 

Grimlock is an interesting character as he's been approached in so many different ways. Doofus badass, dumb badass, smart/cunning badass, lovable badass...

well I guess always badass somehow.

 

I will take goofy badass any day.

 

I get the feeling when they say he's like a dog, they really mean it. He'll be a silent, loyal beast, with incredibly limited intelligence. I just hope they don't go too far into comic relief territory with him. I almost always hate comic relief characters.

 

Also, I would not mind a revised design for Grimlock. He doesn't need T-Rex skull shoulderpads that aren't part of his dino-mode, that just vanish during his transformation.

 

I hope its not too dope.

 

I prefer Grimlock to be a badass, not an idiot.

 

I would be fine with this.

I hope he can be more like Drax from GOTG in the sense that he can some pretty funny moments but also serious ones.

 

Grimlock is always tough but dumb, his animated versions anyway. It's a bit different each incarnation but it's what defines him and it works. We can certainly follow the tradition here, they just have to find the best way for a live action version... I don't have a lot of confidence i'll be honest, but we'll see. They should play it safe and just rip-off Drax!  

It's funny, Grimlock was already in one movie, and we're still debating what his character might be. That's these movies for ya!
