So...Berserk anyone? (Spoilers obviously)

    I've just finished re-reading all 294 chapters and I have to say this is one of the best manga/comics I've ever read.
    The art is beautiful and I enjoy the fact there's real development in the characters. Plus you can't beat the uberviolence.
    One thing I will say is that it's really, really, really not for kids. So if you're under eighteen - kindly gtfo.

    my friend reads this, but i havent started it yet...how many chapters are in each american manga? last i saw was my old store only has up to 25, are all the stories contained in there?

    Yeah, Beserk definitely isn't for the light of heart. There's some really messed up stuff in there. I enjoy it but feel it's been a little slow lately. Still need to read the lastest two chapters.

    This and Gantz both serve up the what the hell moments.

    Absolutely my favorite manga. I started reading several years ago after watching the anime.

    Lumpy, the Dark Horse versions usually have about 200+ pages which is roughly 6-8 episodes per book. I believe the current issues in Japan will be part of volume 32 or 33.

    I've got up to volume 15, but I'm missing 12 or 13 (I got a bunch of them pre-owned at a bookstore sale). I've really got to catch up on it (as well as my other manga series).

    I'm up to the current american released chapter (24-25?) but I'm probably missing the most recent volume. I'll have to hunt it down when I get home.

    And I've been a HUGE fan of Berserk since originally seeing the description of the series listed on some anime store and then subsequently tracking down a bootlegged copy of the entire anime for 20 bucks. Awesome story, awesome characters and incredible art. Though I will admit the last arc(of what I read) was pretty slow, it picked up very nicely at the end.

    Yeah,another fan of this horid,evil,dark,demonic series.I've been a fan for several years.Only own up to 19 in the Dark horse Graphic books but have to 29 in scanlations on disk.Only missing 1 action figure for the set(and it is a limited exclusive of 200)also only missing one pvc statue for that set as well.Would have to be the most expensive collection of all time.Very hard to find all the rare figures with all the varients ect.Come on I have 10 diferant versions of the Black Swordsman alone.

    I don't recomend this one for the week of heart it is very graphic and takes place during the plague,witch burnings,heritics,and lots of demons,lots of blood Gutts(lol)and a huge berserker with a sword bigger then he is!Great stuff!
