There've been some Transformers born on Earth who became good, didn't they? The G1 Aerialbots, Protectobots, Technobots, and so many others right? The 2007 film had feral Transformers running amok AOE had Megatron influencing all the KSI bots to his will. But still I would call it a point of missed oppurtunity that a man-made Transformer could not develop into an Autobot by itself.
Missed opportunity, but one nevertheless imposed by, as you say, outside influences. The Allspark-created bots were likely rabid and acting in defence/anger, whereas the KSI bots were taken over by Galvatron. The G1 creations you mentioned were specifically built by the Autobots, whereas the ones in the movies were made by either a magic cube or stolen by a bad guy.
The Protectobots are never explained in G1. Could very well be Cybertronian. The Technobots were built in Unicron's head, by the (former) most intelligent being in the galaxy, Grimlock!
I wish that somehow the remains of the Autobots had managed to secretly do the same thing as Megatron, and salvage some of the human-built robots and convert them into Autobots. Maybe not give the original bots new bodies, as that would make Optimus's rage pointless in the end, but new autobots formed from whatever ideas/qualities remained of the old ones. Maybe Cade and Joshua could try and make the Vehicons turn out for the better in the fifth movie or something.
It's interesting question! I think Megatron even in his "dead" condition have so much desire to make new army that his thoughts become materialized (like in TF1 he "wrote" Allspark's coordinates on Witwicky's glasses) But Autobots don't want to create new army!
Wasn't lockdown collecting the sparks of the fallen Autobots killed by the humans,maybe prime and the Rest of the still living Autobots can some how get them Back and put them in drone bodies.
Landmine and Longarm would like to speak to you about that. Though really, I think it's because of the materials used. A "pure" transformer is made of transformium while Allspark Mutations are made of whatever random shit is around.
If we can have Earth-manufactured Decepticons, then we should get Earth-manufactured Autobots too. Hopefully that can be an angle for TF5.
I think it's insane how there's very few naturally good Cybertronians (aise from Autobots...it's like they were born to be bad?) I think it might be part of the creators plan.
