After all the rotton people I’ve seen deriding others for wanting to see this ‘Snyder Cut’, and mocking them about how this cut doesn’t exist...

... I’m glad to see it come to fruition.

I look forward to seeing it. After all, it can’t be any worse than the Whedon cut.

More like, okay, so what if it is worse than the Whedon cut? Oh well, only have to watch it once. lol

I still want to see it. Yea, it most likely will be just as bad, or even the worst of them all, but I still want to see it.

Yeah, regardless of how good or bad it is, at least it will fit better with the other movies. I'm kind of curious to see it as well.

Yea, that's true too. At least it will fit in with the others. Where as the current one fits in about as well as the 90's Captain America film fits in with the modern Avenger films. Which you know, not at all.

The biggest improvement will be, at least it will have a consistent tone. Not feel like two directors are fighting over two very different visions of super heroes. Which, again, is what we got.

I look forward to this movie, if not for anything more than just to see it. It's on a streaming service, in which I would already have to be paying for to see, with loads of other content on it. So, at very least, all it costs is a little of my time.

I like Richard Donner, I love Superman: The Movie, and I hated that Superman II got taken away from him mid-production.

But when we finally got a release of Superman II: the Donner Cut, it was an absolute chunk of shit. It was worse than the Richard Lester theatrical cut, which was not at all what I was expecting to happen.

    Amazing word choice.

Snyder is one of the worst directors out there. Giving him more money to spew more Frank Miller garbage into the world's collective consciousness is only a bad thing.

I, too, look forward to seeing more of fascist Batman and objectivist Superman.

With everything being delayed right now, this is just a cash grab for WB. I honestly don't think they'd be doing this if The Batman and WW were being released on time.

Donner's cut has a lot of really great scenes in it, scenes that are almost oscar worthy. However, it's poorly put together. It's his footage with Lester's footage shoved in here and there. Thus making it an incomplete project.

And, I don't give full credit for an incomplete project. I don't know about the rest of you, though. But, yea, the individual scenes are great, but, as an actual movie, it's terrible. Some of the scenes are actually the screen tests for the actors. In which, the actors aren't even in the same room with each other, but acting as if they are.

It's pretty jarring in places. Because of all this, it isn't a great film. It could have been a great film, but it never got finished.

is there any validity to this image i saw floating around? It sounds so much like what Cavill would do since he's a PC gamer.

God I wish he’d been given a chance to grow into the great Superman he clearly could have been.

It's a disjointed, poorly-structured mess with substandard production value. It didn't help that there were decades of hype getting expectations impossibly high, but it just doesn't hold together as a movie. It's more like a 2 hour string of dvd behind the scenes extras cobbled together.

To be fair, it's not the movie we would have gotten had Donner been allowed to finish it at the time. But what we did get falls short of the theatrical cut in almost every way.

While I highly doubt this cut of the film will fix all the issues the film had, this is still a win for fans, which is good news. They accomplished what they sought after, and that's respectable. This will be good PR for HBO Max as well, and in general just seems like a gesture of good faith.

I do enjoy all the cope coming from the usual idiots in the media though, about how this is a bad thing that they're listening to the ones who fund their projects in the first place. :lol

The same people who whined when the people working on the Sonic movie actually took all the criticism seriously and delayed the film to give us a better representation of Sonic as a character.
