Aaaand got one. I'm so glad that's taken care of. I took my vacation starting today for TFCon so this lined up pretty well. Now I can start my first con in a good mood. It's going to be a while before I play much on it because i'm in the middle of Breath of the Wild. Probably just a few rounds of Contra or punch out. Still, looking forward to finally playing Secret of Mana, Earthbound, yoshi's island, Super Punch Out, and Star Fox 2. Now it's off to bed for me. I've been up since 3 a.m. yesterday.

    Got it without much problem.

But it amazes me that people in like for a game systems seems afraid to play games in line.

Oh good. My walmat order is on "backorder," but its ok, because they'll cancel the order for me if it does not arrive by October 10. How nice of them!! And my Amazon order is MIA apparently. also cool and good. Thanks for letting me preorder Nintendo! You did a great job there!

So.. You don't get pre-orders... you whine and bitch and moan... you get pre-orders and you whine and bitch and moan.. And that's retailers fault.. Not nintendos... or do you blame Nabisco everytime they don't have your damned cookies?

Nintendo didn't supply enough to fill preorders, and restricted when preorders were to be taken in the first place. If you're going to restrict when preorders go up, at least give your retailers an accurate count of what they will receive.

Just woke up. Stepped out my door and its cold. Posted this at the wrong thread in the beginning. Fucking need coffee.

Guess some peeps got theirs early. Lucky you even a 24/7 Walmart. We were even lucky that law banning the unilingual system was lifted.

Interesting thing I found out today here... So on brickseek, it showed all the Target stores in my area getting like around 30-40 of the SNES Mini two days ago, but when I checked after midnight today, I saw almost every single store now suddenly has things listed as 'Out of Stock'.
I questioned if maybe Target did a midnight opening, but then came across a site where someone pointed out how if you have the Target app on your phone, you could order stuff for 'in store pickup'...so apparently even before the stores are open this morning, all the SNES Minis are sold out.

Welp. Looks like no Mini SNES for me.

I think I'll finally get someone to build me one of them Raspberry Pis.

Got mine this morning - but *ahem* that's sort of a special case.

I feel for people who won't be able to get their own pre-orders today - blame it on Nintendo as much as you want but even if Nintendo were to fulfill all of the stock orders, the retailers would still be taking more pre-orders than it had stock for. The simple truth is that success is hard to plan for - you can't produce masses of product because of manufacturing constraints and the danger of having unsold stock sitting in a warehouse. nd that's true even if you know there will be a large customer base there.

Not to mention pre-ordering from either Amazon or Walmart is fricken stupid. You want something possibly limited, be at the damn store.

Of course - one of the best thing about the SNES Mini is that I now have two proper SNES controllers that I can connect to my Laptop via an adapter! Oh...and because I'm in the EU, I have the coloured buttons and not the nasty NA violet ones :)
