Well shit. Not only do I now want multiple Slitherfangs to make a bigger snake, now I want a Snapdragon just to give him a snake head. This $6 toy is getting expensive!

 

I feel a red version of slither fang will be a great addition to blaster when he comes out. But definitely going to need multiples to play around with

 

At first, I was fairly underwhelmed with Slitherfang. The idea of a Cybertronian/Quintesson cobra bot was initially awesome. I liked the promo pics and so I scooped one up at a local Target.
Once I had him in hand I first noticed his extremely loose neck joint, which caused him to flop down due to the imbalance of weight in some poses. At best, you can pose him fully upright with no problems. but lean him forward slightly and he tips! Fair enough.
The base-connector-mode is fine, since I like the purple color (I always liken the purple metal of Decepticon bases from the old cartoon as a mainstay, and wish more of these connectors would follow the Autobot/gold and Decepticon/purple theme), but as of now, I have no Decepticon bases, save for TR Soundwave...do these work with that?? Out side of that, he makes for an awkward hoverboard for my Megatron.
Finally, the shield mode (which is just flipping out the tail/handle to plug somewhere on your larger dudes.

 

Anyone have a comparison pic of him and TR Shuffler (or Ramhorn)?

 

I'm definitely gonna have to get more Slitherfangs. That joint snake cobra combiner thing is WAY to enticing.

Target.com had over 100 of them the other day and it was all I wanted/needed so that's what i got. They stayed up awhile too which surprised me. Hopefully it won't be to hard to fine. BBTS has a single figure listing that has been going in and out of stock. Hope you can get one.

After seeing this figure online and reviews i want it but as usual it's sold out. Well,.....hopefully this figure will come in stock soon enough i hope. I'm wanting this figure and the other its shown with too.

Alot of you guys are getting multiples of Slitherfang for roads or to make a giant snake, but for me he makes a great shield for the Collector Club Serpentor!

 

This figure is the epitome of "designed for troop building". Eight seems like a good amount, I'm up to five right now.


Base-bots will look more "base-y" the more ramps and streets connected to them, and the snake mode works great on it's own AND combined as multiples of any number. (Seriously, even just two together look great!)

 

I can't wait until Doublecrosser comes out so I can turn my Slitherfang swarm into a hydra.
