Well considering in the comics "slag" means a slew of bad things I can see why they ditched that name. :lol

If true...I find it odd...as I could have sworn we had news not long ago about Hasbro getting the name Slag back.

Bah, kinda lame, but I'll live with it. When he's in my hands, he shall remain Slag.:)

Seems kinda silly to call him Snarl, when the triceratops has always been known as Slag. If they're having problems with the rights, then just call him "Dinobot Slag". Well, regardless, I'll get him and call him what I want.

Slagging hell... I'm in the camp of "Why not Autobot Slag or Dinobot Slag" But I much prefer calling him Snarl to taking the RID Dinobot approach with Triceradon.

I think I'll agree with this logic. Transformers since Beast Wars have been using the term slag as a slang term, so it might confuse kids if they name someone that. It's like naming a character dumba**

Don't get me wrong he's gonna be Slag to me too, I just see why they might choose to avoid using the name

Oh and if I recall none of the Dinobots were named in Animated yet. Megatron said the words grim and lock in sucession and the T-Rex character repeated it I believe

i like slag better but not surprised they used snarl since it was a recently used name.

That really sucks, and it marks the first mistake of Animated. Oh well, his name is still Slag whether Hasbro likes it or not.

he didnt have a name in the single dinobot episode shown so far, and his robot mode resembles neither snarl or slag (well, he has snarl's tail "wings"), so I don't have a problem with the name. Snarl it is.

I can see why, still Snarl sounds firmilar, wasn't that a name of a TF on Cyber tron and another series before that? I'm on the fence of what I call him, probably Slag. After all I call the MP3 player Real Gear that's red Laserbeak. Back in the day Slag had no meaning. Since Beast Wars its started meaing Sh%#, cr#@, damn, F(#k and other things I believe. Its the universal swear word in TFs now, want OP to swear in a cartoon version, throw slag into the sentence. All the older fans will be able to fill it in with the appropriate swear while the young ones will just think it means darn or something.
