The panel for smallville was today. I found an article about it on Newsarama: Newsarama.com : SDCC 2010: SMALLVILLE Final Season Panel LIVE! It's got some juicy tidbits in it so I will just post on of the highlights Spoilers if you please: Darksied IS the villian [for the record, I totally called it] Like Doomsday, Darkseid will be a bit different from the comics however, to fit in with this world better. Clark will be in costume [finally], The Superman costume is a slightly altered version of the one in Superman Returns. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold will show up The Blue Beetle in question is Jaime Reyes. Jaime will have "a legacy" so other Beetles may show up, at least for cameos. Booster Gold's robotic sidekick Skeets will be around as well. I am sooooo looking forward to this!
Billy West as the voice of Skeets and I may watch it! Otherwise, Pretty much that. There's also no point to having Darkseid. At all. If he's not the worst of the worst, a guy Satan flees from with planets in his thrall, then why bother?
So I'm guessing Darkseid will have a human side, hardly seen or only shown in shadows and defeated off camera.
I, for one, am very excited about season 10. Smallville has it's flaws, but it's been fun and entertaining and at the end of the day, that's all I care about.
Exactly my point earlier. I'd rather watch Smallville than CSI: Oklahoma City, another L&O or anything else NBC has to offer, or the drivel that comes out of ABC's dramas, Lost excluded.
He'll realise that all that time looking for the anti-life equation was a waste of time when he can just bore the universe into extinction by making them watch this show for 10 years.
why the surprise? wasn't it announced some time ago that season 10 was the final season? I am curious about BG and sidekick.
I didn't see Smallville since season 4 or 5 and I read on another website that the Superman Costume that Tom is gong to wear is very similar to the one they created in "Superman returns". Feh! IMO, If they want it to look good, give him a suit that looks like the one Chris Reeve wore for the Superman movies. The one that Routh wore in 2006 for "Superman returns" was a disgrace. Didn't look right at all.

Even if that is the suit he wears at some point in the season, he will eventually wind up in the Superman Returns outfit. Even if it's only in the finale.
Not going to lie their is a sense of dissapointment. At this point it is best to leave it at that. Everything has probably already been said. Though I trust/hope this is only a concept or transitional costume until he dawns the more iconic one. It should be interesting to see how they accomplish Darkside on the small screen same goes for Booster Gold and his robot sidekick Skeets.
