Marvel is again looking for people to make the choice on the next character to get a revamp in the pages of Amazing Fantasy, starting with issue #16 in December. To these ends, the publisher has placed a poll on its website, asking for fans to vote for their choice of who should get the extreme makeover come AF #16: (and yes, it kind of feels like Marvel is pushing for one over the other three) the Aquarian, Texas Twister, Woodgod, and Death’s Head. Currently, with nearly 12,000 votes cast (surprise, surprise) Death’s Head is winning. BUT... Go vote now. www.marvel.com
Why do I have a feeling that they're doing this to prevent IDW (and more or less Furman) from using him in their comics? Oh well, DH is always cool.
I voted Death's Head. Based on the picture of him they used. Here's hoping they don't just rehash Death's Head II, which was mostly crap. Off Topic; denoting a subject that isn't primarily to do with Transformers.
This is very on topic. Death's Head fought Galvatron for crying out loud! With only 18385 votes cast so far, he's 49% ahead. We need to tip these scales more in our favor, as Marvel cheats on these polls (look at the Scorpion from last poll) Vote now. Vote often.
How did they cheat with Scorpion? It seems no matter how many votes are cast, DH stays with 49% so I figure it's rigged anyway, but no harm in voting to make sure.
I voted for Woodgod. ...i thought it was a pretty funny name, anyway..and i was hoping to see what marvel would make his superpower.. :-/
It was already decided to do a scorpion, and to feature it in several marvel books. And as for 49%, it may be that the percentage and totals aren't updated in real time. Give it a day or so, and hopefully us transfans will have pushed it over 50%
Yay! Death's Head won! Death's Head Wins! You, the users of Marvel.com, have overwhelmingly voted to give the cybernetic assasin a massive Marvel makeover. Look for the newest version of Death's Head in Amazing Fantasy #16, in stores in December!
Hmm, considering the only thing I plan to get from Marvel now is the finished Spiday/Black Cat story. Really could care less about anything else (even if seeing Wolverine owned by Aunt May was one of the funniest things I've seen in comics today)
