I'm still not a fan of the art - contorted facial expressions, rubber limbs and disintegrating metal sheets all look very "ashcan" and while that suits a property like Turtles, it doesn't fit here.

Yes, a few dynamic panels convey action okay, but I find in a lot of panels the action doesn't flow particularly well.

I've stopped picking it up, but despite my feelings on it, I am genuinely thrilled to see it doing so well and get such universal acclaim across non-TF channels. It can only be good for the franchise.

Not just Sullivan, Wildman liked to show off their gnashers too. You’re right to make the Sullivan link, there’s certainly an organic flow in the work of both artists. Sullivan was never my favourite artist for the brand but he provided good kinetic action scenes.

Wildman made a good compromise between organic faces and more traditional TF bodies to add more emotional range to the characters, which is what I would have liked to have seen here.

Ah - I'm not familiar with the UK stuff, so makes sense I'd have missed that. Now I'm even more inclined to crack open my IDW trades/Titan Reader's Digests collecting most of the run...

    Is this the 1:100??

I've been trying to lock down a copy via a LCS, but none I've talked to - even the big/busy ones - ordered enough.

EDIT: Answered my own question - it is.

Also pre-ordered a copy for $80 shipped; probably won't find a much better price than that between now and the weeks after release...

I love the series. And the art doesn't look too different from issue 6 to 7
