Yeah, this is why I can't see him as a villain in a modern Bond film. I do think he'd make a great "M," though. I have nothing against Judi Dench, but I always thought she was an odd choice to hold-over from the Brosnan Bond movies.
Watch skyfall, you'll like her more, I like the whole new set up they have going for MI6 in the new movie.
I'm going to Skyfall in a couple hours. Can't wait. But yeah, I lover Roger Moore and I love the Moore Bond movies (except Golden Gun), but they are a completely different thing than we have now, and the two don't mix. And I think it would be difficult -- if not impossible -- to have Moore in a modern Bond movie and keep the more serious tone. It would be waaaaaaaaayyyy too distracting every time he came on screen. That said, if he wants to try it, I support him completely. Who knows? Maybe it could be great.
Moore is probably my favorite Bond, so any potential for him returning to the franchise in one form or another sounds good to me. Though I'm having a hard time imagining him as a villain, but honestly, if he's up for it at his age, there's not really anything I could complain about. Hopefully the people making the new Bond movies take the idea seriously.
You know, I'm just glad to see the Moore Love. He was actually my favorite of the classic Bonds, but I realize most people prefer Connery.
I say get Dalton to do it. He was great as a villain on Chuck. Moore is too "comedic" a version of Bond. I classify the Bonds as: Connery - sexy Bond Lazenby - romantic Bond (got married) Moore - humorous Bond Dalton - young\intense Bond Brosnan - mix of Connery, Moore, and Dalton Craig - Bourne bond
I wonder if this ever happened, will we start seeing a rise of old heroes now as villians like Peter Cullen as the Fallen or Unicron?
