I hope that if it gets canceled, it goes out with a bang. The movie should have been sufficient as a finale. By the way, the topic title spelling is hilarious, no offense.
To quote Nelson, HAW-HAW! I'd have expected them to be canceled due to lack of viewers, not from issues with paying the actors. I can't recall where from, but I heard the actors get paid some ridiculous amount per episode on top of all the merchandise royalties.
The movie should've ended the series and today's Simpsons only rely on comedy but it was still funny for me.As long as there continues to be DVD releases and syndication of the show,I won't be too sad about this being cancelled but if it's gotta end,it needs to end with something unforgettable.
Why is it people who stopped watching have to say Cancel it. What is it hurting you that it is still on? I still like it. I don't watch Survivor or anything like that, quit watching, and say "Cancel it!" If someone wants to watch it, I'm fine with that.
Because the show is no longer good. The characters have gotten stale and unexpressive. The jokes for the most part are no longer funny either. The Simpsons is now a shadow of what it once was so in a sense, it does hurt to see it live on like this.
^...Soooo, just like Rattrap said, don't watch it then. I do agree with you to a point that it has run its course but, others do still enjoy it.
Man, 8 million a season per voice. Well, I always thought it might end over a voice actor either passing away (hey its been over 20 years, they ain't spring chickens) or eventually just demanding too much. Looks like that may happen... well either the voice actors wanting too much or the studio being greedy with them, but it's hard to feel like they are being mistreated when they make millions every year for working less then half a year.
Yet I still find it funny and fresh. You don't want to watch then don't. Let those of us that still love it continue to watch it with out hearing people whine and bitch that it needs to be canceled. No one is forcing you to watch so don't. Me enjoying new episodes has no effect on you.
Meh, as far as I'm concerned, The Simpsons ended for me around season 8; I just check in and watch an episode occasionally to see how the series has continued to change. On the actual topic, I'd imagine this is largely a negotiating ploy on all sides. They'll eventually reach some kind of compromise deal since the series is far too profitable, for both Fox and the VAs, to let it end because of a contract dispute. Maybe people think if Simpsons wasn't on the air any more, there'd be room on the schedule to bring back Firefly or Dollhouse or Arrested Development or some other long-cancelled series that nobody watched in the first place? Or maybe it's just the typical "if I don't like it then no one is allowed to like it and it shouldn't exist" reaction that leads people to get worked up about things that don't affect them and/or that they can easily ignore.
Doesn't really matter to me. If it gets canned, cool story bro. (gave up after the '02-'03 season) And LMAO at Sinpons title
