Personally, I felt the Rock was only watchable because Sean Connery brought a little class to the film. The dialogue, pacing, and plot were all typically laughable and idiotic.

"Pearl Harbour" is the biggest piece of shit I've seen since "Titanic". It's filled with horrible dialogue, drags like a muffler from a 1970 pinto, and includes some of the worst performances I have ever seen on screen.

"The Island" has two good leads who barely were able to speak their lines without bursting into laughter at certain places. Look at Ewan McGregor's face at certain moments in the film, that smirk has nothing to do with character. Besides, it's basically a rip off, story wise, of other sci-fi films.

I won;t even get into the torture that was "Armageddon".

Basically, Bay is a guy who blows shit up well, and does ok with visual effects. Story and character wise he is a hack, and doesn't seem to care that he's a hack. So, it is logical, judging by his body of work, to come to the conclusion that "Transformers" will be big on action, but razor thin on plot, character development, and well written dialogue.

As said by someone else you can't be a TF fan and not see the movie. IM sure after the reviews are good these few people will break down and see the movie anyway. As for me, HELL YES I'm going to see it.

Oh you're absolutely right, Random Autobot. There is no way Michael Bay is capable of delivering the almost shakespearean dialog and plot that an 80's cartoon for 5 year olds did.

Well, if that's all you're expecting out of 200 million dollar action epic, I'm sure Michael Bay won't dissapoint you!

    Yes

Everyone on this board is going to see this film. Whether or not they are pissed off. I think alot of people talk the big talk but when it comes time to boycott they will all be there at the midnight showing. Its a figgen live action transformers movie. You cannot call yourself a transformers fan and not see this film. Its not possible.

Actually, it's exactly because I am a transformers fan that I won't be going to see this film.

Did you go see the Phantom Menace?

I just don't believe that people that have been fans since the very beginning way back in '84, and who have waited this long for a live-action movie to be made, can say they definitely will not see the movie.

I think this thread should be saved and then revisited when the next trailer comes out.

I saw the Phantom Menace and I enjoyed it.I watched it the whole way through when it aired on TV.

And I too find it a bit unbelieveable Tenebrouser. And even if they say so I REALLY doubt that so many people have been waiting for a live action TF movie.

Considering that the majority of us are in mid-late 20s.Most of us were 7-9 yrs of age.And I doubt the average 7 yr old left the cinema after seeing tFTM saying "Man they should do that in live action"

    *Disclaimer;This is simply my opinion*

I'll wait to hear what ya'll have to say about it, but as it stands so far, no. I'm hugely design-oriented, and I really don't like the new designs. I'm also not to fond of what I've heard of the script. and I never venture into this section of the boards...

I'm definately not. When I decide on something, I stand by it. I'm a TF fan not a Bionicle/Dinozone fan. If others want to go and watch it and enjoy it, good for them. The TF designs are not my cup of tea.

Yes. Maybe not on opening night but definitely within the first week of release.

If it's good enough I'll probably see it twice.
