I don't think people who dislike certain elements actually hate the movie. I dislike Prime's current face and Megatron's whole look but it doesn't mean I can't see the movie and enjoy it.

dunno. I don't think this could be a great film, simply cause I keep getting that X-men movie vibe from it, in which the most it can aspire to be is "okay". On the positive side, I don't think it could be that much worse than Batman Forever.

I haven't read any of the script as to remain at least partially unspoiled, but from what I've heard about the human involvement and lack of characterization, it's not looking on the up and up. Then again, it is quite possible that there are plenty of good parts as well. Like I said, I haven't read it.

Most of (if not all) the criticisms I've posted were aimed at the design for the robot modes in that I felt it should've continued the natural evolution of the aesthetic that's been dominant for the past twenty years. Or for those who don't understand that jive, the movie designs should've been inspired by the Alternators line in terms of robot mode appearances.

So in the end, I don't know, though more than likely I will end up seeing it at some point in time.

Probably yes. But it's way to early for me to be certain. I'll wait for the reviews before making a final decision.

    Yes, I'll see it.

I continue to be amazed that people are saying they'll wait for reviews before deciding. Are you kidding me?

I have rent and bills to worry about, and tickets arent exactly cheap anymore. That $10 bucks is about 2 weeks of lunch groceries. So yes, I will be seeing the reviews first before I go to see it. I might be a Transformers fanboy, but not to the point I'm going to spend my money blindly on it.

Yes, but only because I'm getting to see it for free. I help my local theater with promotions so my girl and I get into movies for free.

WTF are you eating for lunch every day? You make me feel like a fat pig, I spend almost that much on lunch every day. Never could brown-bag it.

hey, if a bunch of people went the first day and came back saying it was the worst film they'd ever seen (again, think the Phantom Menace) I'd happily spend that $10ish elsewhere...

    cool! special mention!

my apologies for not having a definite decision made 11 months in advance after seeing some preliminary designs, a draft of a screenplay, and a teaser trailer.

and i know you've never responded, especially in some overly sarcastic fashion, to a "simple yes or no" post in all your years here either. :rolleyes2

I have a hard time understanding why anyone who is dedicated enough to post on a Transformers forum would not go see the first and only live-action Transformers film, even if it's only to see how bad it sucks.

Yes. The new designs are just another group of TF's to the huge pile of the different designs that we've seen over the years. I aslo can't wait to see Berny Mac, even though he doesn't play huge role in the movie. Peace out.
