No, not unless there's some massive reworking before release, which I don't think is likely as it'd mean more or less scrapping everything they've filmed so far.

And I can quite easily judge it before seeing it it. Just as I judge the THOUSANDS of films I don't go to see every year on nothing more than a trailer, if that.

Yes, and likely twice or thrice in theaters at that.

Anyone who read that script knows this movie is gonna suck, that's how.

Don't include me in your broad sweeping generalizations. :throw

I read the script, and I think it's going to rock. Therefore, your statement is false.

I read the script and liked it a lot. Lots of action. Ergo your assumption is wrong. Ergo you can be safely disregarded in this conversation.

    Yes.

And if I really like it, I'll be buying it on DVD ASAP.

    Nope.

Might rent it, but I'm not holding out much hope for this one. Thus far, I haven't been impressed with anything I've seen. Moreover, I really haven't enjoyed much of Michael Bay's work, and this looks to be about par for the course.

Yes. (hopefully @ midnight opening day :p  And i'm not even expecting it to be that great, but it's STILL a live action TF movie on the big screan with a huge budget. even if it sucks i can't imagine there wouoldn't be some level of enjoyment to be had.)

My biggest hope is it's not so embarressing that i won't want to go back and see it again with Mrs. The Pants.

I don't think there were that many to begin with, it's just that they complained so much and so hard it seemed like a lot more people doing it.

    Maybe?

there were a lot of posters hatin' that had 2-15 posts it seemed, perhaps they drifted off into the ether of the internet...

I just hope on 7-5-7 i don't feel the same level of sucker punched i did after episode 1. (although, my expectations are much more tempered)

So if I pay to see the film 11 times myself I can safely offset the few people on this board who will not see it, at least in revenue?

Un-decieded. I may go to one maybe two movies a year (last flick I saw in the theater was SW Ep. III) so something has to really look decent to get me to plunk down my money to go see it. All indications to me at least look like TF won't be worth the $$$, so I may catch it on DVD rental night.
