Simon Furman got in touch with us to share word about his new collaboration with Geoff Senior, To The Death. Earth, 2674: off-world combat legend and absent father Aleksy Dryagin is returning home to a hero's welcome... and a death sentence. Caught between The Triumvirate, a trio of omnipotent Corporate Heads who want Dryagin publically and permanently axed, and the subversive White Noise, who want a symbol, Dryagin is forced into one last, no-win campaign to save the lives of billions of oblivious civilians. With nothing left to lose, Dryagin is prepared to fight... To The Death! It's going to be a digital comic, presented in successive full-sized frames (one per screen), really showcasing Geoff Senior’s kinetic, muscular art and letting the story breathe. Simon sent us full details and some sample artwork, which is attached to the news story here: Non-Transformers: To The Death by Simon Furman and Geoff Senior - Transformer World 2005 - TFW2005.COM The website for the project is here: To The Death
Giggiggiggidygooooo. Simon told me about this at last years AA convention (I've chatted to him many times over the years, and he knows me as 'That Dragon's Claws guy'), and I'm glad it's finally come together! Will follow. Avidly. But I will read 'Dryagin' as 'Dragon'.
BRING IT. So much THIS. Especially when it's got shades of Dragon's Claws stamped through it like a 40-ft wide stick of rock. Heh, can't argue with that, either. Well...er...thanks for that concise heads-up. I think.
I read the title as "Simon Furman and Geoff Senior FIGHT to the death" and all I could think was "jeez I thought they liked each other". This could be neat.
