Hi! I recently got the silver knight Optimus prime and grimlock 2-pack from target. I wanted to remove the batteries from the toy but I was unsuccessful. I was able to unscrew the battery panel but I could not remove the batteries (there's a plastic grey piece between the two batteries that I'm not sure what it is for). Anyway I came upon this website after googling for a solution and I saw a few posts about removing batteries from other transformers. Hoping someone here can help me.

    Thanks!

I can't think of a Optimus and Grimlock 2-pack that has batteries...

It's the 2 pack with FoC Grimlock and the chromed out deluxe Optimus.

For some reason I'm having the same problem. The batteries from my normal FoC Grimlock came out just fine, but the ones in the repaint won't.

You have to move the little gray tap to one side, let one battery slide out and then get the other out.

I actually tried that as well but I guess I'll try it again. Are you sure that it just slides out because when I tried the battery was not budging, lol.

    Thanks.

The Grimlock I took the batteries out of was the Platinum version so as it turns out my Target version still had batteries in it. It was more of a pain in the ass than I remember. The easiest way I got them out was to take my thumb and slide the plastic tab as best I could while shaking the toy to get the battery just past the groove in the tab. There is a groove in the negative side of the battery, opposite side of the tab, which I used a 3/64" flat head screwdriver from a precision set to carefully pull the battery out. After that the second one comes out easily.
