Amazing find. very cool. vey impressive.
did anyone notice the "trigger" on that thing?
It still surprises me that after all of these years things like this keep popping up. My little bro had a Galactic Man from Radio Shack back in the day. I thought it was a Shockwave knockoff at first (having never seen an official Shockwave toy first-hand at that point). My mind was blown to find out later in life that his Galactic Man was actually more official than I expected. Nice find and thanks for sharing!
Very nice, but the real question is: can I get one in purple chrome?
Rough translation (those who know more Japanese than I do, feel free to correct me - I used a bit of artistic license for some of it):
Top: Learn about Toyco toys (AEIOU)
Right (underneath the “mu” hiragana):
Bottom: Astro Magnum
Just imagine, if Spielberg got to make Transformers this could have been Shockwave ),:
Ohhhh so shiny,
The hand prints on this...an endless nightmare XD
We need KO of this, or a purple chromed one, pics and video saved for archive purpose
oh damn what a nice find, didnt even knew toyco was still active...
with the proper trigger this could be an anti hate plague g1 shockwave.
this belong to a museum!
I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again : Transformers without chrome isn\'t transformers!
G1 had PLENTY of chrome and it was AWESOME!
Beast Wars Transmetals\' success was both incredible molds and CHROME!
Bring it BACK!
Who cares if it flakes. I still got all my BW Transmetal stuff and it barely flaked after 25 years.
Many G1 still have all their chrome too!
Yup! What a real trigger should look like.
In the right places yes! Only chrome that turned me off was the one used in the Hb Anniversary Jetfire's scramjet pods. The Legends version ditched it.
Nice! I remember when I first recieved my MP-10 Optimus Prime. I hadn't owned another Optimus Prime since the G1 version I'd had as a child*. He is a wonderful figure, possibly the best Optimus Prime that exists (I understand fans of the latest mold will argue that), but... I was disappointed his thighs were dull plastic. Where was that silver chrome I remember as a kid?
I have three other Optimus Primes now in the WFC line, and a Nemesis Prime. All lovely figures in their own way. No chrome. There is some silver paint here and there, but not on the thighs.
Edit- it occurs this post makes me look like I have a chromed thighs obsession. (Sexy! ) It's not just the thighs, I like chrome in general (within reason), but I particularly remember the thighs of G1. I remember much of the chest having metallic components too.
*Aside from a voyager movie which I sold a few days later.
Nice shiny blocky brick be interesting see who buy it
I'm surprised Toy Co is still around, they even posted Shockwave's lost brother, Yoyo Robo
What else have they done, other than Astro-Magnum (and that companion piece) ?
Is this thing for sale? Or are they just showing it off for whatever reason, and if so...why?
Astro Magnum, aka Galactic Man, aka Radio Wave and aka Shackwave!
P.S We are waiting for Takara-Tomy to make two additional versions (dark and silver) according to MP-29
The choice of a name from four options is available.
Sure, use black oxide screws with a chromed figure. It’s not like chrome-plated screws exist.
Separate names with a comma.
