I have a question about the size of signatures.

I always seem to struggle to get a satisfactory signature that is under 40KB in size. I understand that you want to keep sig size as small as possible to reduce page loading times, but as time goes on and people's internet speeds increase, has any thought been given to possibly bumping up the maximum signature size a bit?
