Nope. Gonna keep it on. I figure with a name like Airtight, his helmet should hold his namesake true.
Well, I may never see your thinking with your Dusty figure... but this is very cool. And good choice leaving the visor intact.
this is nice and all but whats up with all the none transformer customs recantly??iuve notecd pepole putting them on and was like what? these arnt transformers??
And I may never understand why every incarnation of a character has to be completely faithful to the original. S6 is not ARAH. Just like Cybertron, RID, Beast Wars, Armada, TFTM, and Energon aren't G1. But I appreciate the compliment on Airtight nonetheless. The kitbash forum was never limited to Transformers customs only.
Update! I was gonna go with a darker yellow but the paint didn't pan out even after multiple coats. So I went with the same yellow that I used on Blowtorch instead. Touched up the helmet and it's near perfect now. Still need to touch up the details on the body and limbs as well as another coat of green on the lower arms. Still gotta paint the head as well. Can't think of a hair color to use.
Update! Touched up the paint, painted the hands, drybrushed the hair and eyebrows, and did some detailing on the shoulders and backpack. And here's a teaser with him semi-assembled: I haven't put on his shoulder pads, belt, or gun attachments on that teaser pic.
Update! Reassembled him. And decided to put on the accessories to see how he looks. After the pics I have to take off the accessories and do the clear coat on him and he's done! Oh I decided to go with the Long Range head that I had on my custom Dusty. So I the Duke head on Dusty and the Long Range head on Airtight.
