Didn't see a review thread for Mirage yet, so lets get to it.
Love the colors on this guy. It has clear blue plastic for the legs, and feels sturdy. All the joints are nice and tight, but not overly tight. Face sculpt is decent and looks ok.
Shoulder weapon is very nice & harkens back to the original g1 toy. Hand weapon is nice too, but could of used some paint. Articulation is great like most Siege figures. The bot mode is spot on. 1005191620-1.jpg

Alt mode is pretty good too. Transformation of the legs were an interesting design. The clear blue & solid blue blend very well together. Rolls well with nothing rubbing the surface he's on. The big block of a spoiler doesn't really bother me in hand. The only thing that sort of turns me off is the faux bot chest is just hanging off the rear of the car.

All in all it's a very nice iteration of Mirage.

Edit: after fiddling with him some more, I can honestly say I quite like this guy. Not the greatest figure, not the worst either. A decent update I think. Can see where a lot of breakages can happen, especially on that clear blue plastic, the front wheel struts, and the tabs that hold the front & rear together.
Bot mode is my favorite part of him

I opened mine and transformed it a few times before heading out of town. Anyway, as of right now I’m not sure what to think. maybe it’s because he was so anticipated but it just didn’t blow me away.

The legs are finicky and there front wheels are on soft plastic. Maybe if it loosens up and feels more fluid that would help but right now I’m in wait and see mode.

Looks fantastic. And I am amazed that he gets both his rifle and shoulder canon. He must have hit the lucky spot in the budget for paint/parts/mass.

Just got him today. Cheered me up and bit. My older brother died suddenly last Thursday so I’ve been in a runt. Forgot I had him on pre order. Easy transformation and cool alt and robot modes

My condolences to you and your family. I know how that is. Any tiny bit of light helps to cope with a loss of a loved one.

Could any of you that already have him lost an image of the rear? The OP mentions that’s the only issue, but doesn’t post a pic showing it.

I’m on the fence with this guy. Thanks!

Man, poor Mirage just can't catch a break. 3 figures in 13 years, and none of them nail it. Classics had a good alt mode but a bad robot mode. CW was mediocre in both modes. And now Siege with the good bot mode and bad alt mode. Why can't they do him justice? I'll probably end up getting this one anyway, since my figs live in bot mode, but sheesh.

The transparent legs and chunkiness in both modes remind me of Energon Prowl in a good way. Surprisingly looking forward to this guy.

There’s always the Robot Masters figure.

CW Mirage was the best of the updated Autobot reuses of the other CW molds in my opinion. It was just a shame it was a reuse.

My issue with this mold is how insubstantial it feels. Too much soft plastic for my liking.

Like the figure but breakage point. What is it with Mirage and waist breakage 15D2506C-3CDB-4BBC-9227-A94EBAF3CD45.jpeg

I guess at least he still functions even if he can’t tab anymore FEA133A3-44F3-47F5-A324-AF342079FE45.jpeg EC33E33C-6E2C-4482-A250-DF78EBDFBA08.jpeg

Robot Mode is quite nice and cartoon-like, if a smidge on the wide/broad-shouldered side. Hollow bits are mininal, limited mostly to the forearms. I like how the wheels fill out the back. May not have quite the same range of motion as Classics Mirage, but surely no slouch in the department.Vehicle mode is... uhhhh, well you can claim it's Cybertronian, 'cause Earth racing cars don't look like that. Maybe if the spoiler/arm assembly could have moved further back, it could have worked better. The weapon complement is quite nice.

    Nitpicks:
    - I'm a little concerned about the translucent plastic on the legs over the long-term, as it flexes a fair bit during transformation.
    - I wish the wheels on the backs of the legs tucked in a little better.

Overall, Probably about as good as a modern CHUG Mirage toy gets, especially if you had issues with Classic's Mirage's wasp-waisted build or tiny head.

I can see why Mirage has been done like this, to facilitate vastly different chests on his Scattershot/Slapdash/whoever reuses but I can see how having the front of the car sticking out the back annoys some people.

Much prefer the three pack's head to this one!

The weird thing is that Mirage seems to get the best toys, even if they're not great Mirages.

Like the Classics figure is still one of my favorite figures, it's just incredibly inaccurate.

The Alternators is one of the best molds in the line, but it may as well be a new character.

Combiner Wars is probably my favorite car-former in the line, but I don't really care for any of them, really.

But I disagree on this one. It feels like Mirage to me. Really dig the translucent plastic on it.

Soooo...I expected this guy to be my fave of the wave but...he isn't! He's a great figure though. Love the G1 take. Alt mode is nicer than I have it credit for in initial photos. Definitely a Mirage I'm most happy about.

Only complaint is alt mode weapon storage. I know there isn't any good design decisions to make on that front but the weapons just look out of place on the alt mode.
