It's probably a Nod just to Ironhide's lore.
So far the Only Figure's code that teases a future release is Deluxe Greenlight's code "Lancer". When you put "Lancer" into the website a little bio pops up for Greenlight along with a schematic for the Combiner Orthia. Teasing a 4th unknown Fembot limb. (presumably Lancer)

 

Ohhhhhhhh. I remember seeing that now.

 

The codes seem to be more or less reverent to the characters than any thing else. Sideswipe's is Sunstreaker, Cog's is Fortress Maximums, and Greenlight's is Lancer. Other's are names of Cities or a type of Transformer.

 

That is pretty much exactly what I think he would be.

 

I would have put him as a Sergeant First Class or first Sergeant, but Siege seems to only have four ranks and the next one up is Major.

 

Oh totally agree but I don’t expect a E1 to O10/GS1 to GS15 type of ranking that is expecting a bit much.

Unfortunately, every deluxe in wave 2 has been sold out since HP opened. I don’t think the $10 price tag was much help either. I’m surprised they haven’t restocked yet.

 

Well since all the deluxes were found in Bloomsburg, PA I would go with East Coast retail getting them before BBTS.

 

In my personal experience, BBTS has never gotten anything mainline before retail or a comic shop etc same with most other E tailers, they all tend to be behind retail and shops etc.

 

I wouldn't say never. Later wave of mainline figures BBTS usually gets before retail simply because they barely see retail. There was also a time when BBTS always got mainline figures before retail but that may be back in the AEC days.
